Preseed any good? And when to use? Alongside SMEP method

Soon going to start TTC for our first child, researching a lot beforehand to hopefully ensure this is as easy as a ride it can be.

We are going to do the SMEP method so have a sort of plan of when to DTD, however, I’m aware in this method when you get a positive OPK (or static clear blue smiley) you have sex everyday which would be for the next 2/3 days until ovulation tests are negative

I wondered if anyone here has done the SMEP but also used pre seed and it been successful?

What day did you use it? Would it be best to use it as soon as you get positive ovulation test or day after the positive ovulation test?

Or is it just a gimmick and should I not buy

How do you mean what day? You use it before sex to help the sperm swim through it. It needs to be in about 15 minutes to warm up first.

@bitheby I’m doing the SMEP method so would I only use it on the days I have the static clear blue smiley or the flashing smiley says also? So do I basically use it every time we try during my fertile window or only when I’m about to ovulate

It's a sperm friendly lubricant, so will help if you don't produce much cm. if you do, it likely won't make much difference.

Use it in those days you are having sex. When you get your positive.

Pre seed is great. I got pregnant first try with preseed after almost a year of trying.
There’s no harm in trying!

@willithappen thank you very much! I didn’t know it was for if you have too little CM!

My friend tried it alongside some prenatal vits she’s recommended and got pregnant first month so I thought can’t hurt to try!

@Userzzz that’s amazing! Think I might just buy it now, certainly won’t do any harm Smile
