OPKs - am I being too impatient?

Hi

I'm trying to understand if there is a problem with me, with the OPKs I am using, or if my experience is totally normal!

Bit of background info - I'm on cycle 3 of TTC. Came off the pill start of July, had a 33 day cycle, a 40 day cycle and now I'm on day 17 of my current cycle. This is the first month I'm tracking using OPKs.

My flo app tells me I'm due to ovulate in 2 days but I haven't had the progression on my OPKs I would expect. If anything, my LH level seems to have gone down since I started testing on CD10. Is this normal or should I expect a steady rise until ovulation day?

I'm using the cheapest OPKs I could find (Wilko own brand) so I wondered if maybe they're not working properly rather than it being a problem with me?

@Hufflypuf 2.08 at lunch, so probably not yet. Really annoyed with DH though so last thing I want is to DTD. Why do they always time it that way!?x

My DH ate half a Victoria Sponge after dinner on ovulation day then said he was too bloated to DTD

I am 10DPO today and I noticed some very light bleeding when I went to the loo this morning. It seems too early for AF (due in 5 days according to my app) so I'm hoping it could be implantation bleeding. Also getting a few twinges on my lower left side but not sure what it means! Abosultely no other symptoms and I'm resisting taking a test until the weekend.

How are you getting on? Any signs?

@AMS19 @Bells3032 have you had a positive OPK yet?

@Hufflypuf I have on clear blue but not the cheapies. no idea if that means I am ovulating or my LH hormones are just coming up to a natural level post coil

@Hufflypuf I'm 8 DPO and totally symptom spotting. AF due on/around Saturday but I have a couple of tests sat in my bathroom cabinet calling to me x

@Kiki275 Same! I think if this spotting doesn't turn into anything in a few days I might take a test.

Just been to loo and there's a brown discharge when I wipe which I get directly before AF starts. I'm cycle day 24 but only 8 DPO so not a clue what's going on ☹️ x

How weird - exactly the same! Was there this morning, gone at lunch and now just noticed it again. If its AF it means I've only had 10 days between ovulation and the start of my next cycle which isn't good

@Kiki275 definitely here for me too . Going into my 4th month now. I've just ordered fertility lube, a BBT thermometer and conception vitamins from Amazon - I have to feel like I'm doing something to help or I will go mad!

Ladies can I ask which tests your using and which app you use please. I have been trying for 2 years and still nothing xx

@Hufflypuf all set for another cycle? I'm not nearly as excited as I was last month. TTC is such a chore x

Yep, I'm on day 9 now, AF finished 2 days ago so I'm ready to start doing OPKs again from tomorrow.

I know what you mean about it being a chore! My work pattern varies and I found it really awkward last month trying to test while I was at work. I really hope I get a BFP soon as I'm starting to worry there's something wrong with me!

@Hufflypuf shifts are a nightmare, glad I don't do them any more. At least having been through one cycle, I know I can get away with doing one a day for a bit longer, then can do two or three closer to the estimated Ov date. Premom for some reason is predicting me to ovulate on CD11 when it was CD16 last time. I'm hoping it'll be somewhere in the middle x

Which brand do u all use. I use wondfu

@Iloveoreos I use the Easy@home ones (link a few posts below). How are you finding them.
Think I'm going to have to disagree on your ultimate biscuit choice though 😂 x

Lmao at biscuit comment 😂made me smile for real. In my defense I have not had oreos in months.maybe an Oreo milkshake in August but thats about it.
Back to the question, I was using onestep along with Wondfu and wondfu gave results much quicker . Detected ovulation with it. Although control line can look faded sometimes . How is easy at home going?

The easy@home aren't too bad so far. For the cost they seem to do the job. I'm more confident knowing when I ovulate with them than without. Plus, they have a money back guarantee after so many cycles which is reassuring. The PreMom app which goes with the is straightforward to use too x

Last month I peaked at CD15. This month, not even a hint that it's rising. Plenty of discharge though (sorry TMI), wish I knew what was going on
