No idea how we managed to smash through 1,000 messages (40% of them are probably me anyway, ha!) in such a short space of time, but a new thread is needed for the post pill TTC party, so here it is...

Tag anyone I've forgotten please, and new party-goers always welcome :)

@Juno231 Ahh very helpful, thank you :) ill keep an eye on it as Im due on next Wednesday so I guess I would expect it to start dropping by Monday, Tuesday, so will see if it lowers and then can expect AF

@Sperr Hopefully it's implantation for you, fingers crossed but I know what you mean with just wanting AF to turn up if its on its way 🤞🏻

@ChinChilly Id probably say the 8th? Then mark the 7th as spotting. I think cd1 counts as the first full flow or in your case the day heaviest of spotting :)

Kay00 · 16/10/2020 10:45

@Sperr its so difficult because AF symptoms are so similar to early pregnancy symptoms, but I think waiting is the best thing you can do... try not to fixate on it (easier said than done) and enjoy your weekend :)

Sperr · 16/10/2020 10:53

Well now I’ve googled that implantation bleeding is a thing I feel slightly less pessimistic. I’ve never really been one to have “period pains” before my period so that gives me a little hope too! Hopefully it doesn’t turn into AF!

ChinChilly · 16/10/2020 11:01

Thanks @Flowerbudd

Since AF has been I’ve still been getting cramps on and off like AF is going to return and feeling nauseous, I’m going to cut out the folic acid for a few days and see if that is whats making me feel strange as that’s the only thint I can think has changed

Obviously I’ll have to find an alternative to the folic acid I’m currently taking, but if I can stop taking it for a few days and pin point that it is that, it will be helpful

Juno231 · 16/10/2020 11:33

@AMS19 I forgot to say - moving to SW19 end of the month so won't be able to walk in then! I will have a cycle super highway though...

Sperr · 16/10/2020 12:08

Being a normal rational person (not). I checked my cervix and there is no more brown CM and it’s still high and soft - a lot softer than it has been. Hoping these are good signs.

Kay00 · 16/10/2020 12:38

@Sperr fingers crossed!!

@Juno231 I went to a wedding at Morden Hall a couple years ago... so beautiful!

AMS19 · 16/10/2020 13:20

@Juno231 love Wimbledon. Will be a great place to live!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 16/10/2020 14:07

Congratulations to all the recent BFPs! @Flowerbudd - just jumping on to say that stress or virus (even v mild) can raise RHR. However, being pregnant also does so... my fingers are crossed for you!

Flowerbudd · 16/10/2020 14:18

@TheDaydreamBelievers Thank you :) I imagine its work if Im honest, much more likely in the scheme of it..
Hope you're doing ok 🙂 xx

CharWils · 16/10/2020 14:31

Oh yes @Kay00 fingers crossed! 🤞

TheDaydreamBelievers · 16/10/2020 14:38

I'm doing well thanks @Flowerbudd! 7+5 and tiredness kicking in, but luckily not sick!

Juno231 · 16/10/2020 15:24

@Flowerbudd ha and alcohol! My RHR is always all over the place as I have wine every weekend...

MancMama39 · 16/10/2020 15:36

Ahhh so amazing catching up on the BFPs, congratulations to you all, I'm deffo sticking around this thread the force is strong!!

@AnonymousXXIXi I'm sorry to hear your news, sending lots of love and support.

Still no withdrawal bleed for me, so no idea where to start but guess time will tell.

Jaffatotparty · 16/10/2020 21:59

Hi everyone - I’m new here. Hope it’s ok for me to join. I have no idea what half the acronyms mean but I’ll go with it!

Anyway, I came off to the mini pill around 2 weeks ago and I haven’t had a period or any breakthrough bleeding yet. I’m wondering if anyone else had this, I’m getting frustrated because I want to start tracking cycles and stuff but I feel like I can’t do anything yet!

Can I be ovulating even if I’m not having a period? Is this a thing or not? I feel like i have no idea what I’m doing!

mrsmacmc · 17/10/2020 00:31

@Sperr I'm in the same boat today. Had some streaked CM 11 DPO trying so hard not to POAS! ❤️

CharWils · 17/10/2020 00:51

@Jaffatotparty hi 👋

When I came off the mini pill I also didn't have the withdrawal bleed as soon as I expected. After 30 days I had what I tracked as a period which was 4 days long and I think I ovulated about 2 weeks after that! Differing opinions as to whether that would actually be classed as a period or a withdrawal bleed though. I started tracking my temp and ovulation sticks pretty much straight away to get the hang of it as had no idea either and just wanted to get some idea.

Main acronyms I know are:
DTD doing the deed
OH/DH other half/darling husband
OPK ovulation sticks
BBT basal body temp (I think!)
BFP/BFN big fat positive/negative (pregnancy test)
EWCM egg white cervical mucus
DPO days post ovulation
TWW 2 week wait after ovulation before test
FF fertility friend which is a good app for tracking
AF Aunt Flo (period)

Hope that helps!

Kay00 · 17/10/2020 07:33

Good morning ladies!

And welcome @jaffatotparty! It can certainly take a few weeks (or months) for your cycles to start making any sense. Are you thinking of tracking anything?

I came on this morning to say that I finally got my post ovulation temp rise... it only took 4 days haha. My body is so slow at everything... and I'm a very impatient lady! Im 4DPO now and I feel like I can relax 😁

AF arrived in full low this morning! As that was my first month off the pill I’m pretty grateful it all works 😂. On to a proper month trying

AMS19 · 17/10/2020 07:42

Yay @Kay00 you absolutely smashed DTD as well!
I dont think ive ever had sex 5 days in a row with my husband, he isnt going to know what hits him end of next week 😂😂😂

AMS19 · 17/10/2020 07:44

@Sperr amazing!! I was so happy when mine came on Wednesday. I'm now CD4 and so excited it is my first proper cycle!

Sperr · 17/10/2020 07:57

@AMS19 I feel happy to know it works 😂. I was reading about not having periods for months and freaking myself out. I’m thinking to try SMEP thing month as well. I’m starting a new job in a couple of weeks so I’m thinking it’s for the best I didn’t turn up pregnant as well!

Kay00 · 17/10/2020 08:00

@sperr yey!! Glad to hear everything is working! I was so super chuffed when my first AF turned up too 😂

Thanks @ams19 I am really trying hard this month. Hope he isn't expecting that to continue for the rest of the month 😂 FF puts my chances of conception at just 8% this month though... I guess because of the slow temp rise, but we DTD on all the right days. Im going to look after myself for the next week or so (lots of pinapple, leafy greens, good carbs, Brazil nuts etc), Fingers crossed 🤞 😀

AMS19 · 17/10/2020 08:34

@Sperr yeah I had fully geared myself up for a 35-45 day cycle. I had also started pregnacare from day 1 of my withdrawal bleed and lots of people said it might your cycle longer but just goes to show it doesn't for everyone as mine was a perfect 28 days! I ran in so excited to tell DH he was very confused...

@Kay00 I think if you've done everything you can do then at least you won't have any regrets whatever happens! Is this your first proper TWW where you have a decent chance?

I've made a list of all the benefits on jot getting pregnant each month between now and January. Then, if I'm disappointed, I have the good things to focus on. I know it sounds ridiculous when I'm now technically in my first proper cycle given the first cycle was straight off the pill, but mentally I want to prepare myself and I tend to not cope well with the lack of control! 😂😂

Sperr · 17/10/2020 09:02

@Kay00 that’s great! I managed to find old records on my Fitbit like 2 years ago when I wasn’t on the pill and I had quite a long cycle then so I’m surprised my cycle wasn’t longer! How does everyone do opks when they are at work? I’ll be at my new job next month and not working from home!
