Wondering if this is a major myth or not

TTC first month for baby #1, just want to know is this a must do? Or is it just a myth!

😂 I think it's a myth. Maybe it might help but I certainly didn't do that to get pregnant.

@Lockdownseperation @FTMF30 yep kinda thinking it was! But was also curious due to it being my first time trying for a baby so even thought I thought it was a load of bollocks I also thought “what would you know about trying for a baby” lmao

I would assume myth but I did it anyway and got pregnant that cycle

I didn't do it and I got pregnant, actually after sex I jumped up and went for a wee because I'm prone to Infections haha so I'd say myth

No, I laid flat afterwards (got pregnant quickly).

@Closingtime94 this has just answered my 2nd question, ‘can I pee after having sex while trying’ I feel like I sound so naive and stupid but I have all these questions and no one I can really ask in real life

Another question not to be too vulgar! But is it okay for some of the ejaculate to drop out even after lying down for a good 20 mins (or 30 )

To be fair I wasn't trying, although I did say to DH my Flo app says I'm ovulating and he was like "be fine" haha and now I'm 23 weeks pregnant - I think really all you can do is have sex and hope for the best and as long as it doesn't risk your well-being then there's no harm in trying out these myths and tips and tricks, I have read having sex every two days can help you get pregnant a bit quicker as you always have the "ingredients" to go - good luck

Some will always come out, it only takes one after all!

This I do know! Haha yes it's fine, a lot of sperm goes onto the vagina, a fair few of them will die due to the chemicals in the vagina - I think out of like millions only a thousand make it to the egg - sometimes it is pot luck but it's okay to pee and for some to come out

My DP asked me this when we started trying in April. I was like .... errrr no! Fell first month, no legs in the air or anything 😂

Do it if it's in your mind! I did, after not getting pregnant as fast as I wanted to. Worked on maybe sixth time.

I do legs up for 30 mins. Know it means fuck all but makes me feel like I’ve done something.

Fourth cycle. No luck so far.

We did legs in the air! More so as a joke after a year of trying and nothing happening!
We also used pre seed lubricant & I got my BFP after that!

So it's probably all myth but funny that that's when it worked!

@Gowiththeflow97 first month TTC here and I was wondering all these things too!

I didn't do anything different to normal when TTC, other than stopping taking my pill. Always jumped straight up and went to the bathroom afterwards and fell pregnant on the second cycle of coming off my pill. Unless you have fertility worries/issues I would try not to overthink TTC.

I don't know if staying still or not improves your chances, but I reckon it's a myth. Apart from anything else, if you had to help the little guys along then maybe there's something wrong with them and you wouldn't actually want them to be the one that got to your egg.

Maybe stay laying down for 5 mins after sex but really working minutes the sperm is right upon the there anyway so really there's no need to even stay in bed afterwards xx
