Hi,
Planning on ttc in the next few months, and have read should start taking folic acid in the run-up. Can anyone recommend a good brand, do I need any other supplements/vitamins?

I'm 31 and will be a 1st Smile had my coil out 4/5 years ago and not been on anything since.

Thanks

Just basic Folic acid 400mcg from a supermarket or Boots will be fine, you don't need to spend lots of money on expensive multivitamins. Some say vitamin D and zinc are good for fertility so you could supplement with them as well but it's not necessary.

Hey! I've been using Folic Acid from Bulk Powders - it's 400mcg and great value for money. I've also been taking Vitamin D just from Tesco's own brand. Hope this helps! 😊 x

Hi 400mg of folic acid and vitamin d. It is cheaper by them separately then as prenatals and you generally don't need the other vitamins in the prenatals. I use vitabiotics

I took the boots vitamin d and folic acid combined they were tiny and easy to swallow in first trimester when I felt sick constantly
