Positive test 2 weeks after MC

Hi,

I had what I believe to be a miscarriage 2 weeks ago at 6+1. My local EPU said to test again 2 weeks later to make sure the pregnancy test is negative. I did one today and this is the result. Could this just be my HCG levels haven’t dipped enough yet? Is it normal to still have quite a strong positive test 2 weeks later?

I would suspect it’s still residual hcg leftover. After my mc I was still testing positive 5 weeks later. By the 6th week I had negative tests. My EPU told me at firee as t to test after 3 weeks. They said 2 isn’t always enough time to have it leave your body. But they also told me anything you to 6 weeks is normal.

It can take weeks for the hcg to leave your system. One MC I was negative within a week, another it took 8 weeks and another it was 3 weeks. So lots of variety with one person even. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks for your replies. I will wait a few more weeks then and retest.
