Am I seeing things?

Came off the pill about 5 weeks ago, I was on desogestral, you take this pill everyday, no 7 day break at the end of each strip of pills, didn’t really have a proper period whilst on this pill, just random spotting throughout the month (hence me stopping taking it) had no idea when to expect my first proper period after stopping taking it. But 5 weeks have gone by and nothing’s happening at all, no spotting, no period, nothing. So I thought I best take a pregnancy test.

This is a Tesco own brand pregnancy test, I was sure I could see a faint line on the test so I took the test apart to see if I could see it clearer.

I can see a faint line but a lot of people on here say that taking the test apart invalidates it.

I would test again tomorrow morning with an FRER if you can get one. With my first baby I got pregnant straight after stopping the pill (although I did have a withdrawal bleed) so it definitely can happen.

I nipped out to the chemist for a first response this afternoon and it was a clear negative, and after reading some of the reviews for the Tesco own brand tests it seems they’re prone to showing evap lines. Our wedding is exactly 9 months away and we’re not actively TTC so I’m kinda relieved 🙈 panic over 😂
