Recommendations on BBT and OT?

We are looking at properly trying later in the year and I know that to do so ideally you need to take your basal body temperature first thing in the morning and then do ovulation tests in the afternoon - even twice a day around the peak.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what ovulation tests are best to go for.

Also does anyone know of a silent BBT? All the thermometers I've seen seem to have loud beeps and my partner works shifts so don't want to wake him first thing in the morning with it.

Thanks 😊

@Smushty14 the beeping has never woken my OH. If you find it does just cover the thermometer body with your hand until it stops. Some mornings I've been in such a bad mood the beeping riles me up and the hand covering drowns it 😂

I used the Femometer one but it did beep and did wake my partner up occasionally. But in my eyes it was worth it to help get pregnant (currently 5 weeks).
I never used opks. If you start charting bbt before you start trying and your cycles are similar each month you should get a gauge of ovulation without needing a opk but obviously understand how helpful they are and take away some of the guessing :)

femometer bbt thermometer is great, yes it beeps, but you sort of need it to. So it beeps when it has finished taking your temp, otherwise how long would you wait for? Also ot woke me up a few times, as OH also worked shifts so when he got up at 4:30am I would temp, fall asleep with it in my mouth then the bleep woke me back up 🙈 it also stores the temp so you don't need to look at it till you acctually get up later on. I used cheap femometer OPKs they worked great, no need to splash out on anything expensive. You download the app, put your bbt in and take a photo of your opk. Simple ☺️☺️
