So confused, Period late, BFN

hi everyone this is my first time on mums net, I was just wondering if anyone could give me advice or been in a similar situation and what happened..... i am 28 years old, currently day 32 in my cycle not sure on ovulation but I have done 2 tests 1 on cd 28 and 1 this morning both come back negative... my cervix is quite high and soft, I have very mild cramping that comes and goes for the last week, my b**bs sore and ache and bigger..... just looking for someone to talk to really i don't understand what is going on with my body im usually clockwork ... any reply would be appreciated and lovely to know if anyone is going/ has been through the same. So your cycle is usually 28 days on the dot? Do you think you have ovulated yet this cycle eg have any symptoms of ovulation at your usual times? You may have just ovulated late, which will make your period late. You may also have ovulated late then conceived, which would mean you dont yet test positive.

I'm sure someone will be along in a minute that knows more about cervices than me!

The problem with seemingly "pregnancy" symptoms is that they are the same post ovulation towardsperiod and in early pregnancy. They cant be trusted.

If I were you I would give it a bit more time, keep doing the occasional pink dye test, and then if nothing happens phone your GP to report missing period and ask for investigations.

The best tests are FRERs with FMU, you could maybe try one of those? Not sure what you are using.

Thank you so much for your reply I just used the little cheap strip tests, its usually 28 but the longest I have went is 30, today is 33 ... im not sure about ovulation... does your cervix usually tell just mine is usually very very low before period.... thank you for reply

Stress can delay your period.

@Akc91 I got my BFP on Monday, period was 10 days late. Every other day and even the Monday morning tests were negative even FRER. Might just be too early yet.
