Hello I've been TTC for 25 months now and currently on CD79! I've been getting BFNs however on CD75 I got the faintest of faint lines which showed up within the timeframe. I'm new here so insure of how to post a pic. I repeated a test (IC) CD 78 however it was BFN I'm really confused and no idea what is happening with my body right now.

I contacted my GP after CD60 and gone through multiple blood tests to check all hormone levels and all came back fine. I really don't know what to do anymore. Wondering if anyone has been in the same situation and what was the outcome. Any help would be kindly appreciated. Thanks

Hi @TTC2K20 you must be so frustrated with this after trying for so long.

Your GP should have pursued blood tests at 6 months with irregular cycles then referred to gynaecology at a year without conceiving for further assessments. Im not sure if you have had investigations or not?

Given your very long cycles it looks like your body is having issues ovulating. Do you know with temperature readings if you do ovulate? GPs can prescribe medication that induce ovulation.

(I see that you had bloods on CD 60 of this cycle but I more mean that you should be receiving intervention around your general difficulties with conception and long time trying)

Thank you for getting back to me. My doctor is ringing me back Monday to see what the requirements for fertility treatment are. I'm so confused and tired with all the not knowing and what ifs. I was chatting bbt and ovulating regularly on a 37 day cycle. This is the only one I've not took bbt for so I'm unsure if I have even ovulated

I agree with @TheDaydreamBelievers

Try to move forward with a Specialist. Get some answers and intervention.

24 months ttc is really stretching out someone's hope....

Did your OH have a sperm analysis done?

@TTC2K20 if you are UK, the guidelines say you and your husband get specialist intervention at 6mo trying if you are 35 or over and 1 year trying if under that age. So you should be receiving intervention now and I would ask for an urgent referral as the process can take a lot of time. In the meantime I would look up the Nice guideline and NHS websites about what referral should be made.and when.

Sadly GPs sometimes do not know enough about fertility.

You could also consider speeding up some aspects of the process by going private

My GP said she's looking at the requirements for fertility treatment and calling me back on Monday

I'm glad she is looking into it @TTC2K20. I know some treatments can be age or weight dependent but investigations should not be. Wishing you all the best x
