Hi everyone this is our first month trying to conceive. My period came today. I'm using Ovia to track my periods. This will be baby number 3 for us. Our youngest is 6 so it's been a while since we last tried to conceive. Any advice, tips and tricks are most welcome

Hi Lisa,
No advice or tips but I have also just started trying for baby number 3. My period started on Sunday. Did it take long with your other 2? Mine were both unplanned and my youngest is 12 so this is all new to me 😊 I've stocked up on vitamins but that's about it so far

My first was unplanned and then I was on the pill for two years and it took a full year to conceive my second. This time I'm using an app rather than just a Callander. It's so scary this time round not sure if it's because I'm now 32. How are you feeling about it all? Were you on the pill?

Hey, I'm on my second month TTC. Ovulated yesterday I think according to Flo and Ovia app. My first was unplanned so I'm also new to this. Hoping it doesn't take to long for all of us

@babblebeee how often are you planning on dtd during ovulation? I've been reading stuff that says every 2-3 days but I was planning on every day even on the lead up and a few days afterwards aswell.

Have you just come off the pill again then?
I have just had a coil removed. I am quite nervous, obviously I was a lot younger last time, so have no idea how easy it will be now at 35. Ive just downloaded the same app, it all feels very real now.

babblebeee · 23/09/2020 15:35

Not as much as I'd of liked this month, we dtd on the 20th and the 22nd and will maybe dtd tonight or tomorrow. I think I ovulated yesterday though so don't think anything after today will count, but I suppose it's good to keep practicing haha

@BettySuz I have just come of my pill on Sunday. Period came today so just waiting on this stopping to properly try.

Do you need to let your body settle after having the coil out or can you start trying straight away?

@babblebeee yeah the practicing is the good part. We are trying to keep it fun and not make it feel like a chore. That's the part I'm scared of x

Me too. I still want to enjoy it and not think 'oh great, this again' haha

BettySuz · 23/09/2020 16:07

It was a copper coil so can start right away.
We're just going to dtd as usual for now, keep the pressure down, and see how that goes for a few months.
