Metallic taste

Has anyone ever had a metallic taste during their TWW and NOT been pregnant? I have it today at 9dpo but I don’t want to get my hopes up thinking it’s something then I end up getting AF

Yes I have during 2 cycles this year. I know another lady on one of the busses who told me not to get my hopes up cause she's had it before too with BFN.

Sorry :( Don't want to be a debbie downer but it's heart breaking to get your hopes up over TWW symptoms!

@Juno231 thank you for sharing your experience! I’m just trying to mentally prepare myself for when AF arrives, I’m due on in 4 days and I’m trying not to symptom spot

It's so hard isnt it @Nam095 - so mean that ovulation and progesterone rise symptoms are so similar to early pregnancy ones! Crossing my fingers for your TWW end

@TheDaydreamBelievers definitely! I couldn’t help myself, I tested and a faint line came up within the time frame. But I’ve had an evap line on clearblues before so I’m not trusting it. I will try my best to wait until Friday and test with my one and only frer 😬

That is a really good sign though @nam095. I would also guess that if itll show on blue dye now, it would show on a FRER too!

@TheDaydreamBelievers well this is a pic of it, it’s REALLY faint, probably so faint you won’t be able to see it 😂 and it has no colour to it looks like. I said to my OH to lock away the tests I have left and for him to take the key with him to work so I have no choice but to wait 😂

As you said, I see where you mean but it's super faint. Good plan for him to take them till friday!

Hey @Nam095 I have this too. Not too sure what to make of it. I’m 13dpo today but now getting twinges and cramps and lower back ache. Not sure if that’s an AF sign. Haven’t tested yet. Too scared to see a blank window !

@AKcheer completely understand where you're coming from! I'm planning on testing again on Friday at 10dpo, but part of me is so scared because I just feel like I'm not pregnant and my body is playing tricks on me like it always does

Wait no I’ll be 11dpo 🙈 the symptom spotting is already making me lose my mind!

So I no longer have the metallic taste so it can’t be from pregnancy then.

I have a 12 day luteal phase, when can I expect my BBT to drop before AF? I’m 10dpo today

If AF does not show, when will you take a FRER?

@TheDaydreamBelievers probably Sunday as that’s when AF is due. Need something to take my mind off wanting to test 😩

@TheDaydreamBelievers did you have any symptoms from 10-14dpo? I feel like I have none at all today apart from lower left sharp pains in my abdomen :( but I’ve had that past couple days

Nope @Nam095. I've got barely any now either. I had the ovulation pain, then zero, then post positive test I have a little tummy cramping and that's it.

Hey Nam! I can't taste it but I can kind of feel the metallic taste under my tongue if that makes sense. Is this what you had?
