Early pregnancy tests

Do they base the “6 days before your missed period!” off of a 28 day cycle? My luteal phase is 12 days and I can’t imagine I can take a test any earlier than 3 days before my missed period... I’m currently 9dpo and itching to test but I feel it’s still too soon... but according to the early test logic I’m within the 6 days before missed period. Should I just wait until tomorrow??

The day of your missed period is cycle day 2, the day of your expected period is cycle day 1, so 6 days before the day of your missed period is cycle day 24 in a 28 day cycle, which is around 10 dpo. If you can hold out until 10dpo that is the logical thing to do, but as a POAS, I personally am not that disciplined...

@Waiting4another well I have a 24/25 day cycle and I’m on CD21 at 9dpo so that’s why I’m thinking I’m within the testing window, but I definitely will wait, until 11dpo (if I can... 😁)
