TTC #1 Implant removal side effects?

Hi,
I had my implant removed last week, my period ending just before the removal. I'm due to ovulate tomorrow but unsure about this because of implant removal. For the past few days have had a terrible headache, feeling really nauseous and cramping. Today I had a small amount of brown discharge. Has anyone had any of these when implant has been removed?

Hi OP,

Yep, I had all of the above. I felt so unusual that for the 6 weeks after removal I kept thinking I was pregnant. I would have random days where I’d have strange cramps, intense nausea that left me in bed all day and a couple of migraines too. 2.5 months post removal I now know it was just my body reacting to the hormone changes I think. I’ve also had very irregular cycles (41 days, 39 days and 17 days) with a couple of days of spotting in the middle sometimes. A bit all over the place for me but feel like with each month things seem to settle more.

I read many people went back to normal straight after removal but just wanted to share/reassure with my experience that it took a while with a lot of different symptoms/side effects. Good luck with your TTC journey x

Me too, implant removed 3 weeks ago and felt SO nauseous and headachy last week I convinced myself I was pregnant. Alas BFN, so just hormones adjusting.
Last time I had my implant out I got pregnant 45 days later without ever having AF in between - so I think the recommendation is to do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after removal and then 1 each week after that until AF arrives

Hello! I had my implant removed 2 and a half weeks ago but have just had a 5 day period. I seemed quite regular with the implant in though. Not sure if that makes a difference? Hoping this means it will stay normal but somehow doubting it!
