Bleeding mid cycle - GP says pregnant or miscarriage

So I started bleeding on my predicted day of ovulation (according to the flo app anyway). I called the GP after 2 days of bleeding and she said it was either that I was pregnant or a very early miscarriage. I did a pregnancy test on Saturday and it was negative so the GP said wait until the end of the month.

The blood has been pinky but also bright red with some tiny clots (maybe lining??) so I’m starting to think maybe it is an early miscarriage. I’ve been bleeding since Saturday.

With my first pregnancy I had a lot of implantation bleeding (on and off for 5 weeks) but I can’t for the life of me remember what colour the blood was. I seem to think it was mainly pinky brown.

Has anyone had this before?

I had a much shorter cycle a couple of months back and didn’t seem to ovulate. There was no way I was pregnant or having a miscarriage, I don’t know what it was but I’m back to normal now.

Unless the GP has more information than you've outlined here, there are many more likely explanations. Including anovulatory cycle, early ovulation, ovulation bleeding, benign and common cyst...

Miscarriage seems impossible with what you've said above. Unless you have further info or concerns, I'd say this stand alone cycle is nothing to worry about. If it becomes a pattern, or you feel pain, then request more checks. Ensure yourr up to date on smears anyway, especially if this happens again.

Hope all turned out ok? if your cycle length is usually long, and you actually ovulate way earlier than you think, other explanations are possible. So hard to tell without BBT and or tracking CM.
