TTC after mirena removal

Hi all, I had my mirena removed 11th August (hugely delayed due to COVID-19) and we were excited to start TTC. I wanted to try to relax and enjoy it (although I'm 36 and this would be #2 for us) but I haven't had a period since removal. I don't feel any sign of AF at all. Frustrating as I can't really try to work out when ovulation might be etc. I have access to private healthcare in work and am considering trying to access a consultant (not sure who) if in a few weeks there's still nothing. Just wondering if anyone else has had such a long wait after mirena removal for period to start? The consultant didn't mention anything to me about a delay. Thanks!

I had mine took out to try for Dd. Mirena complete stops my periods (had it twice including right now).

Truthfully I didn't really weight until I got a period more so because I've always been so irregular. I don't think I got one for a while after.

Not much help but I had mine took out in the July/August time and fell pregnant in October/November time.

Hey OP. I had mine out on 26 August. I also had an ultrasound at the time to check it was all looking healthy (I have polycystic ovaries, not to be confused with PCOS). I was due to ovulate based on follicle measurements on 29th or 30th. But I started bleeding on the 1st, too early for a period (and too light too). Been tracking temps and using OPKs anyway and whilst I did have a LH surge this month (16th) my temps are all over the place. My gynae said that you can technically fall pregnant the moment the Mirena is removed eg if there is sperm hanging around and you're near ovulation. Have you taken a pregnancy test to rule that out?

Thanks both! Yes I took a test at the weekend, negative sadly. I think I will just try to be relaxed and wait and see, just didn't expect to be 6 weeks on with no idea what's happening. I didn't get periods either with my mirena so it's been a while...!
