Is anyone else getting BFN but no AF!?

I am second month ttc and normally have a 28 day cycle. AF was due on Thursday so I'm now 3 days late. Been testing since around 10dpo but still getting BFN..

Is anyone else in the same boat? Or had the same happen and gone on to get BFP?

It's driving me crazy......

Sorry can’t help with getting a bfp but I’m in a similar boat. It’s my second cycle after coming off the pill so is lasting a bit longer than usual. Currently cd49 no af and getting bfn. Hoping I’ve just ovulated late.

jennaxc · 20/09/2020 19:42

@Plm28 ah, I'm sorry to hear that. It's so frustrating isn't it. I've been off any type of contraceptive for over a year so I know it's not that for me. Just hoping it's a good sign.. or AF shows up soon so I can stop thinking about it!

I’m in the same position - AF was also due Thursday. I’m super regular, so when it hasn’t come by Friday, I was already convinced I was pregnant! And then- bfn. I was so disappointed and then stressed there was something wrong because AF hadn’t arrived (- a bit dramatic after one day I know 😂). But in any case it’s made me paranoid to test again. When are you testing again @jennaxc ? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Shmithecat2 · 20/09/2020 19:49

I was 6 days late before I got my BFP! You're not out until AF is in.

jennaxc · 20/09/2020 19:57

@Bizawit ah it's so nice to speak to somebody in the same boat I'm driving myself mad! I've taken so many tests over the past few days but I'm trying to just do one first thing now as I'm sick of seeing a BFN! When are you testing? What are you using? Have you got any symptoms?

@Shmithecat2 ah thank you so much for this! So good to hear a positive story. Did you have symptoms? I had the tiniest bit of brown blood when I wiped earlier but nothing since..

@jennaxc it’s driving me mad too! I was going to test this morning but it was making me too stressed so I didn’t. Then I’d told myself I’ll text tomorrow, but actually I have a work presentation so I can’t do with winding myself up just before that 😫. So I think I’ll have to wait and see if no AF by Tuesday and test then if not. I want to use FMU because I’m kicking myself for testing in the afternoon last time. It’s driving me mad though. I bought a packet of those clear blue rapid response tests. Used one so have the other left..
I feel like I’ve had some symptoms - dizziness, CM (sorry tmi!), and some strange twinges. Also crazy dreams!! But that could just be because I’m tired and stressed..
how about you?

jennaxc · 20/09/2020 20:48

@Bizawit it's so disheartening testing isn't it.. that sounds sensible waiting until Tuesday, you've got such willpower I was testing 3 times a day until a couple of days ago and then had a word with myself.

Your symptoms sound promising but it's so hard not to overthink them isn't it. I've had mild cramping for about 3 days, yesterday was the strongest and then today I've had a tiny bit of brown blood when I wiped but nothing since. My boobs are very sensitive and I've felt a bit queasy for a few days. I've convinced myself its all in my head though.. I just want to know now either way... Sending you lots of positive vibes 🙌🏻

@jennaxc I just had mild cramps, very similar to the lead up to my normal period. I wiped a small amount of brown blood twice.

Shmithecat2 · 20/09/2020 22:53

And the result was ds, who is 5yo next month.

Bizawit · 21/09/2020 18:33

@jennaxc how are you getting on?

jennaxc · 21/09/2020 21:22

@Bizawit I've had such a strange day, started off with nothing after my spotting yesterday and not I'm pretty sure AF is here it's just a very strange one!

I had my implant out over a year ago and this is the strangest AF I've had. So cruel she's decided to mess me around this second month ttc 😫 I don't really know where to go from here, no idea when I'm going to ovulate etc. Grrrrr

How are you getting on?

Kona84 · 21/09/2020 22:10

Are you taking folic acid? My cycles changed from 28/29 days to 33/34 days when I started taking folic acid

jennaxc · 21/09/2020 22:15

@Kona84 yep I am, maybe that's why! Such a strange AF too maybe it's all because of the folic acid ☹️

Morning ladies. I'm in the same boat!

I'm currently 15DPO (And I am very certain that I ovulated when I did as I track everything lol) but no AF, and no BFP. I feel like i'm in limbo.

I had cramping CD9 to 12 and spotting CD11 and 12. And nothing since. I was certain AG was on her way, but she hasn't showed up yet. I have no other symptoms and I took a FRER this morning and it was stark white, so I'm pretty sure i'm not pregnant... meh!!

One big factor that could be delaying my AF is the vitamin B Complex I have been taking. I am taking it to lengthen my LP, which was on average 9 days, and I expected it to lengthen my LP by a day or two, but so far it has been nearly a week - haha!

Kay00 · 22/09/2020 08:27

*AF not AG

hopefully2021 · 22/09/2020 09:31

I had my last period on the 4th August but keep getting negative tests so I'm definately not pregnant, I took evening primrose oil in August 3000mg & I honestly think it's made me skip a period entirely! I didn't track ovulation last month so I'm currently in limbo on what's going on - I'm hoping I come on as I normally would around the 4th/5th October. So annoying when you finally decide to TTC and your cycles get messed up, I've always been like clockwork xxx
