anyone had success with vasectomy reversal help!!

has anyone been through this and what is the cost and success?

My dad had a reversal and got his new wife pregnant within weeks and later had it redone again BUT that was quite a few years ago and I think it depends on the procedure that was followed. Initially they just used to sever the key bit but I understand more recently they actually take a piece out. Your DH should know wheter the doctor who did his op told him what technique he was using and if it may or may not be reversible.

dh had had a vasectomy when I met him. He had it reversed for me, was told that the reversal had been unsuccessful (no sperm in samples) and then promptly got me pregnant (on our wedding night). Only took 2 months to get pregnant with our second, so fairly sure that doctor's got it wrong and it wasn't just a fluke.

I think that it depends on how long before the reversal the vasectomy was. (5ish years in dh's case).

Just be prepared, the reversal is a major operation that happens under general anaesthetic. Much more of a thing than the vasectomy.
