Botox / TTC

I know this won't sit well with some but I am looking for some advise;

I get Botox twice a year, my next appointment is a week today however i am at the end of my ovulation and it's now "crunch time".

Are there any risks to having Botox it potentially very very early stages of pregnancy?

Of course if there is any risk I will be cancelling my appointment.

Thank you x

There is no clinical evidence suggesting that having Botox is unsafe in pregnancy or while breastfeeding, but it is sensible practice not to inject a toxin in pregnant women just in case something happens to the baby

I can’t imagine a reputable clinic would be happy to inject a pregnant woman tbh. Good luck TTC

I did ask my botox guy about it once and he said if TTC he won't do it after ovulation. (Bless him, he even said 'only the first 14 days of the cycle).

There is no evidence, but personally I wouldn't risk it. Any chance you can move your date back a week so you should know either way?

HotGlueGun · 19/09/2020 13:12

Why would you even risk it?

lucymagoo · 19/09/2020 14:54

@HotGlueGun she's already said that should wouldn't if there were any risk

One of if not the most powerful neurotoxins in the world.
Really, you'd even consider it?

@Ihopeyourcakeisshit if you'd actually have taken note of what I wrote you wouldn't have written this reply.

I think push your appointment back and wait and see. If something went wrong with your pregnancy you'd always be worried that it was the Botox. Best not to have that worry x

Similar to yourself I had an appointment booked for what would’ve been 7DPO, I cancelled it because if I got my BFP a few days after and something went wrong I wouldn’t have been able to forgive myself even if there was no way of proving it was the Botox... I got my BFP at 11DPO and I’m so scared as it is and dread to think how worried I would’ve been had I not cancelled that appointment!

Personally I’d move it for a few weeks time and have it during your period so you know you’re not pregnant x
