So I found out I’m pregnant with my first two weeks ago on Saturday
A couple days after getting a faint line on a cheapie I started spotting and it gradually got worse,I had no cramping or clots just period like bleeding. so I went to the hospital and all they could do was confirm that I was pregnant, they didn’t take any bloods even though I asked her to a few times but I was in such a mess that I just wanted to get out of there, they couldn’t do a tv scan as I was only 4+5 so they told me to come back in a week(which will be tomorrow) the bleeding stopped the day after I went to ane
I’m now 5+4 and I’ve been testing everyday as that’s the only thing I could do to get me through this week and the lines have been getting a lot darker as the days go on and I also got a + clear blue 2-3 weeks two days ago which made me happy but today I started spotting again but the line is still dark
I’ve heard it can be pretty common but as this is my first pregnancy I’m absolutely petrified that somethings wrong
I know it isn’t an ep as I’m not in any pain but I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this experience and gone to have a healthy bubba? Any help would be extremely appreciated x

You don't always get pain with an ectopic, I didn't get any with mine. I personally would be contacting the EPU and pushing for blood tests. If you are having a scan tomorrow they'll probably take bloods anyway.

It may be absolutely nothing and you may just bleed - I did with my daughter but bleeding should be checked out and I suspect the EPU would want to rule out an ectopic too.

Fingers crossed all is fine for you. What time is your scan?

Slothmomma · 16/09/2020 15:51

I was coming on to say get investigated for ectopic too - I had no pain with mine either

Bubblewanting · 16/09/2020 17:16

Thankyou so much✨ & At quarter past 2
And I definitely will bring it up and get them to check
I really thought that pain was one of the big giveaways for ep...I’m absolutely terrified

Unfortunately I had bleeding on and off like this couple months back and lost my baby the tests still showed strong to so please don’t rely on that good luck with your scan

Bubblewanting · 16/09/2020 17:44

I’m so sorry for your lossā¤ļø
they’re not staying strong tho hun, they’re getting stronger since the bleeding. The day I started bleeding the line was really faint and since the bleeding has stopped my tests are blazing positives and thankyou

I had no pain with my ectopic either. My epu says they won’t do bloods unless there is really heavy bleeding or extreme pain. Which is wrong of them as my ectopic had neither and they sent me away for over two weeks which is really dangerous if them.

That is so dangerous. How hard is it to take bloods and repeat them 48 hours later. That is a pretty sure way of establishing if things are as they should be or not.

I was very fortunate with mine although I had what seemed like a period followed by positive test. But then I only bled very lightly. Once I was in the system, they saw me pretty much every 48 hours (for a couple of months in the end).
