Hi, I’m hoping for some advice or for people to share their experiences with similar situations.
I’ve just had my second chemical pregnancy. The first time it happened was in July I reached 4 +5 before the bleeding started. The month after I fell pregnant again and this time reached 5 + 4 and the heavy bleeding has started again.
The pregnancy tests showed strong lines a few days ago and showed 2-3 weeks on clear blue digital so hcg was increasing and then it ended. I’m looking online and it says it’s not that common for it to happen twice but I’m not sure how true this is.
I’m also not sure how likely it is to happen again. Have you had more than one mc followed by a healthy pregnancy?
Feeling anxious now and not sure what the problem might be or who I can go to for help as I’m sure it has to happen 3 times to go to the doctors.

So sorry to hear about your miscarriages.

I had two in a row, with successful pregnancies before and after. I looked into the numbers. At least 1 in 8 pregnancies end in miscarriage, probably much more as a lot of people won’t know if they miscarry at 4 or 5 weeks.

That means that if you took 100 women who had one miscarriage, then at least 12 of them would have a second one. So it is pretty common. Three in a row is much rarer and can indicate a problem.

Once I told people (mine were later and involved staying in hospital so a lot of people knew) I found out a lot of people I know irl had had 1 or 2.
