Cervix checking... Is anyone else attempting this?

I have been keeping an eye (finger) on my cervix since TTC (6 months) and it's so confusing and seems to have no pattern or predictability at all.

I'm currently 9dpo and today my cervix feels weird. It's like rock hard but also really tightly shut - it's never felt like this before, it's always been open a tiny bit (I have given birth before) so I'm now wondering if this could be a good sign.

Everywhere you look on the internet says it should be high and soft if you've conceived so I don't know.

Is anyone else checking / can anyone make sense of it ?

@MrsChipsreturns I check my daily and also find it confusing and like it has no pattern! From my reading online it can take weeks after conception for it to go high and soft, so probably not a good indicator at this stage x

I check my cervix to know when AF is shortly on its way. The day of or the day before my period it goes low down and hard.

I was recently pregnant (had mmc) and it did go high and soft quite early on, but not before a pregnancy test told me I was pregnant.

It is not an exact science though and the rest of the time seems to have no pattern!

@MintGreenLife ah that's what I found too! In a way that's good that it isn't a clear indicator because mine is all over the place. It already feels soft when it was hard a couple of hours ago.

@MrsChipsreturns I don't think it will tell you much before you'd get a BFP ☺️ The only thing I notice with mine is that it's very tilted straight after AF so that I can hardly even feel the opening, and then as my cycle goes on it goes straight and feels more open. I'm struggling with irregular cycles Post Pill though, just had a surprise AF a few days into my honeymoon 🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh no nightmare @MintGreenLife hate it when AF sneaks up like that. My cycle is usually 32 days but a couple of months ago I had a 21 day cycle, it was such a nasty suprise.

I've taken a FRER today and looks pretty negative to me. :(

I'm 4 weeks pregnant and mine was really low in the TWW so I wouldn't say it's a good indicator at all
