Hey!

I had a miscarriage a couple of months back and I haven't had a period yet.

I actually suffer with irregular periods.

Anyway someone said to me about tracking ovulation with my temperature?

Can someone please explain to me how this work? And what to do?

Thank in advance 🙂

@Annie1211 hi! So sorry for your loss. My understanding is your temperature rises 0.2-0.4 degrees when you ovulate. So if you take your temperature first thing in the morning at the same time, even before you sit up, and you all else being equal (e.g. you are not sick/ had a bad night sleep) you can tell you are ovulating when your body temperature goes up. If you google it there is quite a few website, the NHS has some detail on it too!

I havent tried it yet, starting this month!

Download fertility friend app. Take temp at same time each morning and plot it into the app. It will tell you when you've ovulated if your temperature rises. It does only confirm ovulation after it's happened, so not sure how useful if irregular, but can use with OPKs which will detect surfer before.
