Confusing Question about Ovulation!

Hiya, I'm very new to all of this ovulation talk 😁 but my question is, if someone says they're 8DPO... does this count the day of ovulation or not? So say I ovulated on the 29th August, would 8DPO be 6th or 7th of September? Or do you count it from the day after suspected ovulation? I hope this makes sense 😁

Hiya! So, do your 1st day post ovulation is the first day after you ovulated (the day after your temperature rises).
