@HappyVibes ha that’s good going!! All bases covered! Sending you huge bags of baby dust this cycle! 💫✨💫✨

MinnieMouse4 · 22/09/2020 23:26

@HappyVibes I just saw your OPK tests and I always thought cheapie OPKs were to be used in evening and CBD to be used with FMU. My evening ones have been very low and I wasn’t planning on testing twice daily until my levels creeped up but I’m worried I could be missing my peak. I think I might start using CBD tomorrow morning just to be sure. Xx

RichmondLady1981 · 23/09/2020 07:12

@MinnieMouse4 morning! Sorry if I’m patronising you but did you know you have to start using the CB on a specific day so that it measures your baseline? It’s ok to start using it after you’ve finished your period but if you check the leaflet it indicates the best time to start using. Sorry again if you already knew that. X 💕

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 08:19

Just a little update from me... got my 3+ at 5+1 and so relieved because with my miscarriage it never went beyond 1-2 weeks!

Right - this is me finally jumping back on the ttc bandwagon after Mmc. Nurses telling me I would likely be super fertile but to wait 6 weeks to ttc again was a little contradictory but also seemed like a challenge!
Fingers crossed this month is my month! Very excited

HappyVibes · 23/09/2020 08:31

Good morning @MinnieMouse4 Yeah you’re absolutely right with CBD needing to be FMU. The cheapie OPKs - you can use them throughout the day, just not FMU.

I live for CBD and swear by them, I really do. Maybe do both lovely. As long as it has your baseline from a day that you’re not peak or high, you’ll be good to start CBD - just be mindful that the first CBD you use will always be a O as that’s your baseline. So if you’re starting them later than the recommended CD for you, then I’d keep using OPK too just to make sure your first O isn’t actually a high or peak (if that makes sense).

What CD are you on? What CD do you usually ovulate?

I’m currently CD19, and generally get my peak on CD21...hence why I’m just continuing my tests this month, with CBD giving me my peak CD17. xxxx

HappyVibes · 23/09/2020 08:32

@Bl0ndi3 great news for you this morning lovely. Hopefully that’s a big relief for you girl. Sending you lots of strong and healthy baby vibes 💓

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 08:37

@HappyVibes thanks so much lovely ❤️❤️❤️

@MinnieMouse4 I also back what happy is saying in that you don't have to use CBD on a specific day just on a day that isn't high or peak so I can detect the rises. Both times I've used it has been different and the first time it went from low to peak in 3 days no flashing and I conceived that cycle.

susiebluebell · 23/09/2020 08:44

@Bl0ndi3 Excellent to see that! Grin

@CakeAndPreggers Welcome to the bandwagon! Hope all goes well for you x

Furbsies · 23/09/2020 10:17

@scrambledeggy it is. Although still no AF. Not sure what my body is up to this month.

@Lollol86 thank you. Having a difficult time this month

Anyone with any experiences of this. Regular cycle, suddenly not regular anymore. It's been a few months post MC and I'm not sure where AF is. If anything it's making me more anxious and sending me over the edge

scrambledeggy · 23/09/2020 11:14

Hi everyone! Woke up today still feeling a mixture of excitement and fear, as I'm terrified I'm going to get my period because of the cramping. Will take a second test tomorrow, which should hopefully reassure me a bit.

@Bl0ndi3 What a relief! When's your booking appointment? Mine's in another month or so. I hope we can both make it that far 🤞

@CakeAndPreggers Sorry to hear about your loss, wishing you all the best for this month. It's good to feel hopeful again Grin

MinnieMouse4 · 23/09/2020 11:37

@RichmondLady1981 morning, yes I did start the CBDs on the specific date last cycle but I’ll be honest that did slip my mind this time around lol! I should be okay though as my cycles are lasting longer now so I could start tomorrow (I was planning to start today but completely forgot until after FMU). I’m still using cheap OPKs and my levels are very low at the moment so I hopefully have a baseline for tomorrow. Xx

@HappyVibes yeah I plan to use them together. I’m on CD15 today and I’m not too sure what day I normally ovulate as I haven’t tracked before but going from the cycle I conceived, I ovulated on CD19. My cycles are also longer post MC going from 28 to 34 days so it could be even later. Looking at CBD instructions I should begin testing on CD17 based on my last cycle of 34 days so I’m just on time 😊. Xx

@Bl0ndi3 thanks for that information. It is useful to know with my cycles being unpredictable at the moment. Also, great news on the progression on your BFP you must be so relieved! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9months xx

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 11:43

@scrambledeggy mines on 13th October and I've got a scan on 10th xxxx

notalwaysalondoner · 23/09/2020 12:07

Hi all! I’ve just had my second miscarriage- first was a missed miscarriage (anembryonic/blighted ovum) that was surgically managed in June, then this month was a chemical pregnancy/super early miscarriage one week after my period would have happened. Trying to keep my spirits up and hoping we don’t have recurrent miscarriage. We have a private fertility appointment next week as we’ve now been trying exactly a year (although the first miscarriage obviously took some time out...) so hoping we get some reassurance that it’s just bad luck. I’m 30 and ALL my friends seem to be having babies...

notalwaysalondoner · 23/09/2020 12:08

Forgot to say the first miscarriage was managed at 10 weeks and then took 8 weeks for my cycles to return - hoping it will be much much quicker this time...:

PixieLa · 23/09/2020 12:13

Hi, I’m new on here today and just wondered if someone could read my test for me (not sure how to upload a picture but I’ll try!)? I’m 9 DPO, so it’s early early. I’m not sure if this is an evap line or a real one. It appeared within the 3 minutes (around 1 min). I did two and the other one was a more dilute sample and was a lighter line....

Bl0ndi3 · 23/09/2020 12:14

@PixieLa you can't upload pictures when you're new.

Your best bet is to wait a day or two and test again to be sure though x

PixieLa · 23/09/2020 12:14

notalwaysalondoner, I just read your post. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you xxx

Firevie · 23/09/2020 12:19

Hi all, sorry been a bit awol last couple of days but I’m back on the peeing on a stick bandwagon. Cd12 currently so started cheap OPKS. V low at the moment at 0.17 so boo! I will start using cbd tmr morning with first morning urine and then do a cheap OPKS in the afternoon. So, will do both - cbd mornings and cheap OPKS in afternoon and will hopefully get my peak around cd17/18 and ovulate 19/20. The joys of peeing on a stick again. Xxx

chloedancer897 · 23/09/2020 14:28

Here are my OPKs. I actually think I may have had my peak on CD13 but missed it as I stupidly only tested once that day. I got my static smiley on CD13 (I always get it in CD13!) so I'm assuming I ovulated CD14.

familybythesea · 23/09/2020 14:47

Just checking in and saying hi - I've been watching the feed but haven't had a lot to say. 5dpo and got my fingers crossed but it was my birthday this week (38, eek!) so I've been on the sugar, caffeine, wine...you name it! It was also my due date for my missed miscarriage a couple of days before my birthday so that stirred up some old emotions, but doing better now. I have an appointment with the recurrent miscarriage clinic (although letter only mentioned gynaecology dep?) next month so I'm hoping they will run some tests to put my mind at rest that there's no clotting disorders or anything obvious like that - and maybe they can finally answer some of my questions about short luteal phases!

Hope you're all doing ok. Hello to the new people - wishing you luck. And sending hugs to all those struggling at the moment xx

Sully84 · 23/09/2020 15:01

@Furbsies I miscarried late last year, since then my cycles have been between 26-31 days (was usually 28 pre MC). But last month I had a 41 day cycle. It completely threw me. My GP is going to do 21 day bloods (I’m on about day 12 so far). I’m hoping it was just a blip and that even though it’s been 9 months since MC and surgery maybe my body is still recovering. The GP didn’t seem overly concerned and seemed to think the stress of covid etc has probably effected lots of people in different ways. Not sure that’s reassuring but just to say you aren’t alone so maybe it is the body just still resetting itself after the MC. Sending hugs though as I know it really plays on your mind x

scrambledeggy · 23/09/2020 15:40

@Bl0ndi3 ooh, mines the 21st. Is it a private scan you're having on the 10th?

Welcome @notalwaysalondoner , so sorry to hear about your losses. So good that you're finally (hopefully) getting some answers.

@PixieLa I know how hard it is to wait (both for the mumsnet system and to test again!). When you come back in a day or two there should be a section below the "Add your message here" that says "Images", and you can upload them there.

Sympathy to the OPK crew, I still have loads in my drawer as I bought a massive batch of cheapies!
@familybythesea I've been lurking for ages as well! Well done on getting past that tough milestone, and for hopefully reaching another in your post-MC care by getting that appointment for next month.

Just cracked and did another test, it's a lot darker than yesterday's, phew. Can someone ban me from picking up any more for my own good? 😂

Rainbowhope11 · 23/09/2020 16:02

Hi ladies! Any whose had an Hcg trigger shot before, how many days did it take for the Hcg to leave your system?

susiebluebell · 23/09/2020 16:05

Hello @notalwaysalondoner, I'm a very recent ex-Londoner (probably always a Londoner at heart though) and I'm 30 next month! Friends and in-laws having babies all over the place and it's very bittersweet isn't it! I don't think me and my OH have anything to worry about as we've only had 1 miscarriage and it was our first pregnancy - still devastating - and I've got my fingers crossed that the same is true for you! Should assume all is fine until you hear otherwise!

And hello @PixieLa I think you do have to wait a couple of days as a member till you can post pictures 🙄 Here's hoping it's all good for you!
