TMI pic warning!!! - please help!

Hi all

This is my first cycle TTC.. and I'm in need of a bit of help! 😟🤷‍♀️

I am tracking ovulation on FLO which says it should happen tomorrow - and also using clear blue tests which are coming back as negative OPK's at the moment! 😟

I have just been to the loo, and wiped and this is what I've noticed on the tissue and also in my underwear.
I'm really sorry, this is probably extreme tmi but I really need a bit of help with this! Is this EWCM..? Is this even normal?! 😂🤔

If this IS EWCM then why are my OPK'S not showing positives or even looking close to ovulation yet?!

I'm wondering why if there's EWCM, there is no OPK line progression.. could it be that I've got this a few days ahead of suspected ovulation?! Xx

@ttc97 if it helps at all I got EWCM three days before a positive opk test. X

@ttc97 EWCM starts when estrogen gets high, high estrogen then goes on to trigger the LH surge. It's completely normal to have EWCM anywhere from 3-7 days, whereas the LH surge can be as short as 12 hours. Estrogen has to reach a certain height before it will trigger LH, so totally fine and normal to have EWCM for several days before you see any change on OPKs. Unfortunately my cycles are all messed up from being on the pill and I had EWCM for a full two weeks my last cycle x

@ttc97 no probs ☺️ Understanding how it all works makes it so much easier to understand what's going on. Maybe have a look online at the different hormone levels throughout your cycle, there are some handy graphs ☺️

I got EWCM and was using clearblues. I did an amazon cheapo that night and it was positive and got a positive OPK on my clearblue the next morning.
Now in my TWW and going crazy 😂

@Laurenemma13 ahh amazing! I will keep testing with both then as I've got amazon cheapies and also clear blues, so will keep trying both! X

UPDATE:

Just taken another OPK test strip ( cheapie ) and also a clear blue ovulation test.. both still coming up as negative.
In fact the test strip I've done looks so pale still it's really concerning me 😟 I never was taking today as ovulation day 'gospel' but it was nice to have an idea of when it may happen... sadly doesn't look like it will be today!!!

@ttc97 Just to give you a bit more confidence, I'm the same as @Sohe. I get EWCM 3 days before a positive OPK.

And my OPKs from this month... CD13 was first day of EWCM and you can see just how quickly it went from completely negative yesterday to positive this morning.

You're welcome. If you're anything like me then you'll get a positive test sometime on Tuesday. But just keep testing twice daily and DTD when you can. It probably won't be long now.

My honest advice is stop testing and go with your body signs. This is a big sign of ovulation. With both my pregnancys we have dtd when I've got what you have now and both have (so far) been successful

@ttc97 - just to provide some reassurance,my OPKs typically jump from f- all (like blank) to completely positive then back to nothing within the space of a day or so. They dont seem to slowly go up like some other peoples!

@TheDaydreamBelievers ohh really! That's really reassuring to know, thank you 💓 it's really disheartening feeling like it's gonna be your day for a positive OPK finally, and yet again it's negative 😟 here's my recent one from just an hour ago.

I had so much EWCM yesterday when posting this thread, really thought this might be it - but not got any EWCM or just usual watery CM any more 😟😟

The other thing @ttc97 is that when we come off hormonal BC it takes a while for things to regulate. I'm about 6 months of the pill but have only had 1 period and my body had quite a few attempts at ovulating prior to doing it properly and me getting AF! So your body might just be taking a run at it. Best thing to do is just to get romantic every couple of days to be sure!

@ttc97 have you been testing everyday? Just wondering as it may be you already have? I kept checking as was expecting it round day14 but nothing til day17. Apparently a lot of people dont actually ovulate on day 13 of a 28 day cycle! Also I read with some people, they dont get a positive but they are still ovulating with no problems x

@Laurenemma13 I've been using OPKs every day but not seen any kind of surge or dark like whatsoever sadly 😔 I'm wondering if I will be a late one to ovulate perhaps? Just find it odd having had so much EWCM and then nothing today! We have DTD every day this past week so hopefully if I did ovulate and it went undetected, I have caught it! Xx
