Extreme TMI pic.. but please help!!

Hi all

This is my first cycle TTC.. and I'm in need of a bit of help! 😟🤷‍♀️

I am tracking ovulation on FLO which says it should happen tomorrow - and also using clear blue tests which are coming back as negative OPK's at the moment! 😟

I have just been to the loo, and wiped and this is what I've noticed on the tissue and also in my underwear.
I'm really sorry, this is probably extreme tmi but I really need a bit of help with this! Is this EWCM..? Is this even normal?! 😂🤔

If this IS EWCM then why are my OPK'S not showing positives or even looking close to ovulation yet?!

Looks like ewcm to me, at least what it should look like, and it's before ovulation so all good.

Hi @ttc97 that does look like EWCM to me. I had this and then then the next day a positive OPK stick! So don't lose heart try another opk tomorrow!

When you see this, or very watery clear cm, start trying! It's a great sign!

UPDATE:

just taken an OPK test - both a cheapie stick and also one of my clear blues..
And both still negative. I wasn't ever taking today as gospel and that ovulation WILL happen today, since I know this is just my first cycle. But it was nice to have some kind of idea and all of the CM I've been having up to now has been in line with ovulation being very soon...
the test I've taken today is really faint 😟😭 could I still be in with a chance of ovulating?! It's day 14 of my cycle today. Hoping I still do. 🤷‍♀️🤞🏼

@ttc97 ovulation on day 14 is textbook but really not always the case.
For me it has varied between day 15 and 19.
Don't let the opk bring you down.
Ewcm is good sign but it can take a couple of days from then to have a positive.
And the surge can happen very suddenly!
Make sure you dtd consistently from now x

I've just checked for CM and it's all completely dried up now. So strange.. I don't know what's going on 😟🤷‍♀️

Taking charge of your fertility is a great book to help pinpoint (often simple) cycle issues. It’s possible your body was gearing up to ovulate (hence the EWCM) but didn’t. OPKs can miss the surge (are you testing twice a day? 8am ish and 6pm ish?).

Without temping it’s hard to tell. Your body could also be settling after the implant.

EWCM often comes (but is consistent) 3-4 days before you ovulate. So get on it whenever you have it. But it could take a few months to get over the implant.

It defo is EWCM!!! I would say it's fine to get to work!!

I have never ever had a positive OPK, just some slightly darker than others. But I get EWCM around the same time every month so know I am ovulating.

@Livingmagicallyagain that's what I'm worried about, if it isn't the real deal and nothing is going to happen 😟😭 I'm praying that I've still got a chance 💓🤞🏼

@iswhois I think I'm the same to be honest, I've never had a dark OPK so really not sure what's going on. It's really frustrating 😟😟

It works very absolutely normal and healthy for your body to take time to adjust after the implant. And for your body to try to ovulate but not quite get there yet. Your body is very wise! Trust it! And buy that book to learn more about it.
