ovulation test...which is the best to let me know when im most fertile?

as i dont understand all that stuff about when you do know yourself ya most fertile as it seems to be gibberish to me!!

Hi my gp told me not to bother with those ovulation kits as an egg lasts only about 24 hours and sperm can take up to 24/36 hours to get to it. So if you have sex when a kit tells you that you are ovulating, its too late.
I think the kits might be useful to use for a few months to chart at what time of the month you ovulate, but the best way of getting pregnant is to have sex before you ovulate, not when you are ovulating, if you see what I mean.
Sperm can live for days and days so the best advice I had (and I've got two boys to show for it!) is to have sex from when your period finishes up to ovulation so that there is always some sperm waiting to pounce when the egg is released.
