Hey so I finished my contraception like two weeks ago and am TTC. My doctor got a faint positive but any test I have done is negative. What do I a do what do I believe

Sorry I'm a bit confused by this? When did you get tested by the doctor, and why?

If you've only been ttc for two weeks I would have thought that's surely impossible, unless you ovulated and conceived within days of stopping contraception, which I suppose isn't impossible.

@RMarieClaire what difference does it make why she got tested by a doctor?

@missmummy29 no contraception is 100%, if you've been TTC and the doctor gave you a positive, I'd be inclined to believe it :-) Have you been home testing with your FMU? Perhaps pop back to the doctor and ask for a blood test to confirm it. Based on your post I assume they did a standard urine test.

Hey so I went for a bloods and pee sample to be taken the doctor said is a faint positive and a little bit of bacteria in my pee . I just wanted to get everything checked as I've had a lot of back pain and been tired . So then said I'd to be seen . I didn't think I could get pregnant this fast . They just tested my pee and have given me another appointment on Monday

@missmummy29 the faint positive could be because you haven't long implanted and HCG levels haven't risen yet. By Monday, that positive should be nice and strong. Back pain and tiredness are both symptoms in early pregnancy, this sounds very hopeful and a tentative congratulations sound like they're in order :-)

RMarieClaire · 11/09/2020 20:18

@jazzibelle I only ask in case there were other symptoms etc that led her to go to the doctor, or whether they're already discussing fertility stuff with their GP that might explain the situation. No need to be aggressive when I was only trying to respond to the question.

jazzibelle · 11/09/2020 21:13

@RMarieClaire was it aggressive, or did you just read it that way?

missmummy29 · 12/09/2020 11:08

@missmummy29 that looks quite strong on a one step! Smile

jazzibelle · 12/09/2020 13:00

@missmummy29 that looks like a decent BFP, definitely not a squinter! Congratulations, you must be over-the-moon :-)

rorosemary · 12/09/2020 13:04

Bloods show up positive earlier than urine. There needs to be a higher level of hcg before you start peeing out the excess.

Congratulations!

Hey all I hopefully will get my blood results to confirm it on Monday afternoon . Idno I still don't feel pregnant and I guess I don't believe it yet until it's properly confirmed . My partners happy and so am I it's just abit of a shock as I didn't think it was happen so quick after the injection. I'm so scared of losing the baby if I am pregnant as my last two babies I lost . I guess I'm really scared . I thought I'd be so happy but I'm so scared
