EWCM but no positive OPK?!

Has anybody experienced this before..?!

This is my first cycle post contraception, which stopped early August. 🩸

I am having lots and lots of watery and now EWCM but absolutely no OPK progression.. to be honest they are actually barely visible.

My FLO app is advising that I will ovulate this Sunday (13th) but since this is my first cycle I'm not sure how accurate this is, so I'm not taking this as gospel. I'm struggling to figure out what is best for me to do..

Would you say to keep DTD as often as possible?! The thing is I'm not exactly sure when my period would be due for the next cycle as it could or couldn't be regular yet..

I'm also feeling really confused and a little disappointed now. Why would my body be producing all of this CM and yet I'm getting absolutely no sign of OPK peaks and surges.

I've included a pic of the one I've taken this morning so that you can see..

EWCM but no positive OPK?!

I can have up to 5 days of ewcm before a positive opk so might just be gearing up :)

@Annny27 thank you for reassuring me! I've been Panicking that it may never happen.. Such a minefield after having the implant removed, I never know what's going to happen next! Xx

@ttc97 I find my EWCM differs every month. Sometimes I have a lot leading up to ovulation, others I get it only two days (day before and day of) during ovulation, some months I even get it post-ovulation. I see a lot of women on here using this type of OPK, but personally I prefer the digital kind. They're a bit more expensive, but it takes the guess work out of deciphering the lines :-)

@jazzibelle I completely agree, they're really hard to read. I do actually have the clear blue ovulation tests but I usually check with the ones I use above to see if I see a darker line first, before using one of those clear blue ones.. I keep getting negatives with both 😟😔 xx

@ttc97 I'm no expert, but I think you need to use the digital CB ones consistently, it can get a baseline before detecting oestrogen rise, then the LH surge. While you're figuring out the OPKs, try if you can to keep DTD every 2-3 days just to keep you in the game :-)
