Soy isoflavones worked!

Hi all,
Finally got my bfp! I'm 5 weeks at the mo. Spoke to the hospital and registered with midwife so it is starting to feel real.
Just wanted to throw it out there that after 6 months of trying with really normal cycles and no luck, it was the first month taking soy isoflavones that we caught!
I mean it could be a complete coincidence and I know in the grand scheme of things we really weren't trying that long but for £4.50 from Tesco it's worth a shot!
We didn't think that it was our month after not dtd the day we got a positive opk and stuff but here we are! I took the soys days 2-6. 80mg 80mg 120mg 120mg 160mg.
Wishing you all the baby dust and for anyone trying then maybe give them a go.

Congratulations OP!

I had a similar experience with my DS and it was surreal that a few quid spent on a supplement allowed me to have a baby.

@sqirrelfriends tell me about it. I just think it's worth getting the word out if something so simple can help people.

Hi - can I ask if anyone experienced later ovulation when taking these? Took them for the first time this cycle and am still yet to get a positive OPK and usually would have done today (CD19).

Tonithetiger · 10/09/2020 21:15

@Wearenotyourkind
I ovulated day 18 usually with a short 10 day luteal phase. Stayed exactly the same the month I took soys. Got my first squinter at 8dpo on a cheapie so must have implanted super early.

Brilliant!

How come you take them days 2 to 6 please?

xoJellyBean · 10/09/2020 21:31

That's wonderful. I took soy this month but didn't manage to dtd as often as we should do currently waiting for af😊 congrats!

Wearenotyourkind · 10/09/2020 21:39

Congratulations @Tonithetiger and thanks for your reply. I have a short LP too, so was hoping to extend it with the Soy Isoflavones. Will see you what happens.

Tonithetiger · 11/09/2020 06:02

@whatever1980
I read up online you take them for just the start of the cycle which affects egg production. For some people it brings ovulation forward.

They worked for me too on my 3rd attempt with them (after 12 cycles overall). DS just turned 2 😊

They did delay my ovulation every time I used them though (from my normal CD15 to around CD20)

NamechangeTTC · 11/09/2020 08:05

I’m on cycle 1 of trying!

xoJellyBean · 11/09/2020 09:43

@NamechangeTTC are you trying soy?

Tonithetiger · 11/09/2020 10:28

FX for all of you trying! xx

Thanks for this!

NamechangeTTC · 11/09/2020 18:21

@xoJellyBean yes first cycle soy. Third or fourth overall.
