Hi I am having my third miscarriage now. I’m really struggling with it happening yet again.

I am going to ask my gp to refer me to the recurrent miscarriage unit at st marys manchester. Does anyone have any experience of this place and how long things take?

Also does anyone have any recommendations for any private clinics around manchester?

TIA

@XjustagirlX

Hi lovely, I've sadly just experienced my 5th miscarriage back in June.
I have also been referred to the Recurrent miscarriage clinic at St Mary's in Manchester. Mine was sent off as an urgent referral back in June and I am still waiting to hear from them.
I think with covid, everything is taking that much longer. Which I can totally understand but equally just desperate to be seen by the consultant so we can try and get some answers as to why this keeps happening!

Hope you're doing okay. It can be such a lonely time.

@Rainbow1991 wow that’s such a long time. I was told by st marys that the time to get a first letter was 6-8 weeks and they confirmed that was the current Covid situation time. Have you chased them up? I was also told by my doctor to chase her if o hadn’t heard anything in 6 weeks.

I can’t believe they said to you 6-8 weeks. It’s been over 12 for me now! 😭
Did they say who to ring to chase it up? I’ve tried ringing the numbers I’ve found online from the st Mary’s website but I’ve not been able to get through to anyone!
I think I may need to get my GP to do some investigating too, especially considering the time frame it’s been!

Definitely chase them up...

Don't be too hard on yourself, it could be one in a million things including poor sperm quality.

In most cases MC is a natural selection process... and happens a lot more often then people think, especially during fertilisation.

If you feel you are not getting any answers with St Marys at Manchester, please just message me and I will contact a lead researcher in this field for a recommendation rgd private Consultant.

@Isareeya hi this is an old thread I created but shockingly I still haven’t been seen by st marys. And my appointment has been delayed again. Then the follow up treatment plan will be a 6 month wait. Do you know of any private recurrent miscarriage tests?

Sorry to hear about your loss!

I have had my 3rd miscarriage in September and have also been referred to St Mary's. Had my initial consultation two weeks ago and bloods done on my Monday and have a scan booked 4th November. But I wanted to ask did you get your answers in the end?
