Is my FRER getting lighter?

Hello

Took a FRER 08 Sep with second morning urine then took one this morning 10 Sep with first morning urine.

Why would it be lighter? I thought hcg increased every 2/3 days?

Definitely looks darker. Congratulations ☺️

The top one is the latest one isn't it? I'd say it is lighter OP, sorry Flowers it could be that you drank lots of water before bed/during the night?

hopefully it'll get darker again

ShalomToYouJackie · 10/09/2020 08:28

@mumof32188 the top one is the latest one x

CalmDown7 · 10/09/2020 08:37

Top one is the latest one, I should have dated it! It seems lighter than the one I did 2 days ago. I expected it to be even slightly darker?

@CalmDown7 ahh gosh so sorry. Yes it is a bit lighter. As another poster said did you drink more last night? Get up for a wee in the night? Hope it gets darker again for you.

CalmDown7 · 10/09/2020 09:31

I got up for a wee around 2:30am, would that make a difference considering my stronger test was with second morning urine yet was still darker than today’s?

@CalmDown7 I’m not sure but it certainly could of. Maybe try first wee of the day. It doesn’t look drastically lighter, just a little bit.

CalmDown7 · 10/09/2020 09:40

FRERs are so expensive, I have no tests left and don’t know if I can justify spending more money on them... what would you do if you were me?

If I was you I'd be worried - because early pregnancy is really stressful. (But I don't think you actually need to worry)

BUT as I'm me, and an outside observer, I'd tell you to seriously not worry at the moment. These pee sticks aren't an exact science. And some have more dye in them than others. And your wee can be more or less concentrate on different days.

I've never found looking at line progression helpful. And the digital tests are useless too.

If you love peeing on a stick (who doesn't!!) buy some cheap strip tests from eBay and track the line on those. You can get 209 for £8!! Frer aren't really worth it after a missed period.

Update - started bleeding today, so I guess my concerns of my FRER getting lighter were indeed leading to something

@CalmDown7 I’m so sorry to hear this. Hope you are doing ok. Well as ok as you can be. I had a chemical last cycle. It’s tough isn’t it.

CalmDown7 · 11/09/2020 22:16

mumof23188 - thank you for replying again to me. Yeah it’s incredibly tough, I feel so helpless. Why is my body rejecting pregnancy?

How many chemicals have you had? This is my second. I’m sorry you went through it too. How are you dealing/coping? x

mumof23188 · 11/09/2020 22:41

@CalmDown7 ah I’m sorry. I do feel for you. It is a hopeless situation isn’t it. Look after yourself. Keep positive, it will happen for you. When was your last chemical? Sorry to hear you’ve now had two. It was my first one. I’m doing ok. Was quite upset when I started bleeding and found it tough throwing my tests away. I had never heard of a chemical until I joined Mumsnet!

HPenthusiast · 12/09/2020 07:59

Hey lovely so so sorry to hear this. This happened to me too this week following a mmc in August 😢. Just want AF to turn up now to start a fresh. Wishing you lots of luck for the next cycle ♥️

CalmDown7 · 12/09/2020 09:53

Thanks for the thoughts ladies, appreciate it. I’m just so down, I didn’t think it would happen again and now I’m wondering if I’ll ever get a sticky pregnancy again.

Oh you poor thing! If it's any comfort - I had 2mcs before dd, then another 2 after dd (I'm pregnant again now though - 22 weeks).

My consultant says that it can be a sign of hyper fertility- your womb is so comfy that it give inferior fertilised eggs a try.

It might help to read a book called It All Starts With The Egg. Or something.

Also, try taking 150mg of aspirin from your next bfp.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. But it's not a sign that you can have a successful pregnancy ever Thanks
