Faulty tests?

Hi everyone.

TTC no.1 for over a year. Every month I have ovulated, apart from last month when I had a 70 day cycle and ended up taking meds to force a period! They normally range from 32-38 days so not overly regular.

This month I've got a new pack of cheapy OPKs and I'm not sure what's going on. Yesterday I had an almost positive at 4pm, followed by a definite negative at 8pm. Today I've had a possible positive at 4pm, and another negative at 8pm! Anyone got any ideas of what might be going on? Could it be that the positive is more of a line bleed? Seems strange that it would happen twice in two days. Here are today's...

Thats so strange! Id just temp to get a proper idea of whats going on. Read Toni Wechsler's book.

Whats your CM like? Could your body be trying to ovulbuut a benign and common cyst is preventing it? I've had this and resolved in a cycle or two.

Your 8pm OPKS may be diluted due to what you're drinking. I would assume that you are due to ovulate very soon (if you haven't already). As PP mentions the best way to confirm ovulation is by temping as a clear temperature shift happens after ovulation, but ovulation does not always happen after a positive OPK.

Thanks so much for your replies. I've had loads of tests and scans etc so u think of there was a cyst it would have been picked up, but it's still a possibility.
As for temping, I just can't get my head around it! I've tried it before but I seem to have a completely different temperature reading every morning. I do it as soon as I wake and it's different from one day to the next, even from one minute to the next!

I tried temping whenever I woke up and it gave me the jagged mountains on my chart. It only started to work for me when I set an alarm to test every morning. I test at 6am but I get unusual readings even if I test at 5:30 or 6:30... i think the timing is the key.
