Clearblue Confusion..head is fried!

Hi ladies, TTC #1, cycle 7. Irregular periods although lately cycles are 30-40 days. Havent been using opks this cycle as was trying to take the 'relaxed' approach...had ewcm cd23 and am now dpo 14 or 15 I think.. since about dpo 5 I've had backache and mild lower abdo cramps/pelvic heaviness. Really thought this could be it, but once again several BFN with FRER. No other symptoms but the cramping was much stronger yesterday and today, thought It might be AF but no sign of her either! Lots of cm so yesterday I started Clearblue opks for fear I was going to ovulate much later than I thought..negative circle yesterday and today a solid smiley? Does this mean that I really did miscalculate and am peak fertility now? I've never had a solid smiley before on any other cycle, always days and days of flashing ones!

Head is fried with all of this, please help

I absolutely swear by clearblue. I definitely hold them responsible for my pregnancy and couldn't have done it without them!

It's not totally uncommon to go straight from low to peak, but yeah very annoying. When you got your low, did you wee first thing in the morning? You should have had a "high" the day before the peak, but maybe you weed at the wrong time? First thing in the morning always gives the most accurate result.

I would use a combination of the clearblue and also just being aware of your dates. Ideally you would do it a few days before peak too because sperm live for a few days

Thanks so much @kittenpeak, wee was evening time both days which is not ideal but the first one was a random notion I took out of frustration so I thought I would do it at the same time this evening..will stick to the morning anymore!

Such a weird cycle this time round, with the ewcm two weeks ago I thought that was O time but obviously its time to talk business with my husband again, can't do any harm to give it a go!
