Trying for baby 2!

Hello,

We've been trying for baby number 2 for 4 months now!

I know it doesn't sound like a long time but no matter how long you've been trying every time my period comes it's heart breaking. Baby number 1 I fell in the first month so I think I assumed it would happen again that fast. I guess I've just come on here as I'm feeling so deflated about the whole situation, and hoping to talk to some other ladies who feel the same?

I've tried conception vitamins but I came off these as I convinced myself they wouldn't do any good and stuck to folic acid... mabye I should give them another go?? Can anyone recommend anything they used which worked? I'm at the crazy lady stage now and about to go on the hunt for a witch to help me out 😳🤣🤣

@graciesmammy TTC number 2 here as well and also on cycle 4 (currently 3dpo), we actually had an ectopic in February and weren't allowed to try again until 3 months after I'd had the treatment. So this is cycle 4, round 2 for number 2 I suppose! The ectopic was cycle 3 of trying. So many of my friends who have littles ones a similar age to DD are announcing pregnancies and I feel like it definitely adds more pressure. How old is DC1 if you don't mind me asking?

Really sorry to hear you had to go through thatSad!!

My little girls 2, 3 in February. How old is yours? Every month goes by and I just think another month between the age gap I wanted. Everyone is also expecting us to be pregnant by now which doesn't help when people are asking all the time and it's all I want. I just don't know what more I could be doing I'm tracking ovulation every month but I guess it doesn't work like that! What things have you been doing / not doing ?? X

@graciesmammy she's 3 in December so a similar age. I've used the CB digital ovulation kit for the last few months but have ran out of sticks now and refuse to fork out another £30! This month I've cut out alcohol and reduced the amount of sugar and meat I'm eating so will see if that helps. I take folic acid, vitamin D and vitamin B complex (I have a short 10/11 day LP and this is supposed to help but can't say it's made any difference yet 😂)

It's so tough, especially when everyone else seems to be getting pregnant straight away. I'm trying to be more relaxed about it but it literally consumes my thoughts, particularly in week 2 of the TWW.

Them trips to boots every month for the ovulation tests are a nightmare , I'm also using the clear blue but I'm thinking my next cycle I may have a month off them , it's sort of become an obsession especially in that 2 week wait! Everyone just keeps saying stop stressing and it will happen but how the hell can I stop stressing? Hmm

I just feel really deflated and negative about the whole situation which won't be helping but it's hard to keep up beat when every month just keeps passing by. And it makes it worse as I can tell how much my little girl would love a sibling Sad

I used Seven Seas Trying For a Baby/Conception tablets when TTC DC2 and fell pregnant first month. Not sure if it’s the tablets but couldn’t read this and not mention it although before I took them I read some mixed reviews about how a number of women found it lengthened cycles so maybe have a read up first! Good luck 💕

@graciesmammy I completely understand how you feel, although I realise that doesn't help much! My sister (who fell pregnant the first month we were allowed to try again, unplanned, not tried for, an inconvenience etc) told me to just "not try and it will happen" ... Honestly, I could have punched her! Where abouts are you in your cycle at the moment? Maybe try ordering some of the cheaper ovulation tests from Amazon - I got 50 for around £5 this month when I ran out of the clearblue ones after I'd had the flashing smiley face for NINE days 🙄

I'm due in a couple of days but already done a first response and a big fat negative Sad!!!

I'm just wanting to do things different this month as the other months clearly have not worked... mabye not tracking ovulation and just having regular intercourse is better than obsessing over ovulation and timings. I'm trying my best to adopt this I don't care approach which everybody keeps telling me to do Hmm

Good luck too you and I hope it happens for you soon Thanks
