Anyone trying the SMEP this month?

I'm currently on CD4 and we're going to try the SMEP for the first time this month. After two chemicals, I'm at the point of giving up so I would love to have some company and wondered if anyone wanted to join me in on this experiment?

Hi @lepnee I'm planning on trying this too this month. Tried it for the first time last month and no joy but I've heard promising things so fingers crossed. Requires a bit of effort when you hit 3 days in a row mind you!

I was expecting AF yesterday when I wrote my post but not fully shown up yet but feeling like she will rock up any time now. It's been a weird one this month, lots of spotting for the last week and lots of BFNs so keep thinking I am about to go to CD 1 and it doesn't happen. I am sure it's literally hours away! Do you know what day you normally ovulate? I'm around 17 to 19 most months so we didn't start til CD 10 last month, thought I would cut DH some slack!

Hey @AprilLou any sign of AF yet? Fingers crossed - this might be your lucky month ! And yes I normally ovulate around CD13-14 so I guess we will see!

SMEP is my plan for next month ok if I join? I am waiting AF arriving as well - my temp has been dropping for four days so fairly sure I am out this month.

For the days you BD every day would those be the peak days (from digi ovulation tests) or the day before OV the day of and the day after?

Are you trying anything else new this month?

No I'm totally out @lepnee - I'm counting today as CD1. Not sure what was happening over the last few days!

Hi @vividdreamer88 so from what I have read you need to: Start daily OPK testing until OPK turns positive. On +OPK day you BD that day, the next day, and the next day. Then miss a day and once more for luck! So last month I got my +OPK 48 hours before ovulation so my 3 days in a row were 2 days leading up to and the day of ovulation. Hopefully I've understood it right!

This month I've upped the vitamins for me and DH (I read it starts with the egg and took inspiration from there!). I also called the docs on Monday to get a consultation as I came off the pill a year ago now so was hoping to have conceived baby #2 by now. Hopefully all is fine and we've just been unlucky so far but I figured it's best to find out either way!

I ordered some vitamins for me and DH - tbh I have no idea I based it off the inpatients women’s guide to getting I can’t imagine there is a lot of variance!

Hi! I’m hoping to do this as well this month - does positive OPK mean the flashing face on the clear blue tests? My CD8 should be on Tuesday.

Hi @Sperr , to be completely honest with you - I've never used the digital ovulation tests. Could you google it or have a look at the leaflet from the box? I only ever use sticks that show up in its 2 lines good luck!!

@lepnee thanks! Searching what the faces mean on the clear blue came up with nothing but I googled what a positive on the other sticks is and it’s the flashing face (the surge before ovulation)
