Can this really be positive?

So came off the pill and have been trying to TTC for a couple of months. Cycle has been all over the place so very hard to work out ovulation. We were apart a lot of last month so only managed to have sex on 27th August. I got a faint positive today but seems quite early. Period started on 15th and ended on 20th. Could this be right or am I getting my hopes up? 2 tests (one normal cheapo one and a first response one) with a faint but definite line there.

If you ovulated on 27th you'd be 10DPO now, so you definitely could have conceived from DTD on the 27th and have a very faint positive by now.

27th August was also when you were on cycle day 12, which although a little early isn't impossibly early to ovulate.

The best advice I can give is to retest in 2 days time with first morning urine. In 2 days time you should see a very clear positive if you are pregnant.

Good luck!

Thank you! My app said that I was ovulating on 29th so I had thought there was a slim chance of 27th working out.
