Flashing smiley

Hi could anyone help me please. I am using clear blue ovulation tests and had two days of flashing smiley faces and then a solid face. Tested again two days later and it was blank and now tested this morning and it's a flashing smiley face again. Does this mean I didn't ovulate the first time?

Hi@Cjg14. Did you get any other fertile signs around the first peak? EWCM or wet Cm?

I didn’t get on well with the clear blue digital advanced. Was my first month using this month, and I don’t think I will be using them again. I was getting some odd results almost straight away so started using ICs (one step 25) along side them. Started testing 7CD as the instructions stated.

7CD- negative Clear blue
8CD - Negative clear blue
9CD - peak clear blue for 48 hours, started doing ICs twice a day as this seamed too early and both negative
10CD - still peak, 2x negative ICs
11CD - negative clear blue and ICs
12CD - flashing clear blue, negative IC but EWCM started
13CD - flashing clear blue, negative IC
14CD - peak clear blue for 48 hours, with a positive IC in the evening
15CD- peak continued, negative ICs,
16CD - negative clear blue and negative IC
17CD - flashing smiley back again!!! Flashing smiley stayed until I ran out of sticks.

So yer, clear blue gave me two peaks, and with IC only one positive test. If I had trusted that first peak on the clear blue I would have missed my most likely ovulation date, by 4/5 days.

Having said that on other threads they have worked really well for people. X

Thank you for replying. Yes I did get wet cm at that time and it was cd13 so would seem about right. I don't think I ovulate regularly and have a low ovarian reserve so am worried I might miss it if I was to ovulate, although I don't have any cm signs now. I also use Femometer ICs and although it is showing a 2nd line it's not positive. Just all so confusing isn't it!

@Cjg14 yes it is so confusing. Do you do temps aswell? Iv tried doing temping this month and again it’s just not working for me as I work day and night shift so chart is all over the place as I don’t don’t sleep well on nights and don’t get a long enough block of sleep for an accurate temp! Of your struggling you could try the SMEP thing. Although I don’t think I have it in me to Baby dance that often!! 😂 x

Cjg14 · 07/09/2020 21:06

Yes I've been trying the last couple of months to do temps but my sleep pattern is not great so not sure it's accurate! Yes I've been trying smep too, tbh I've been trying everything. How long have you been ttc if you don't mind me asking? X

Not long. Since May. Got a BFP first month of trying but unfortunately had an early loss in June. Periods restarted end of July and this is my second cycle since. How about yourself?

Currently 6 or 7dpo at the moment. It’s starting to drag!! X

Cjg14 · 07/09/2020 22:08

I'm Sorry to hear that! 😔
I came off the pill 2 years ago but thought my periods were all over the place due to stress etc but had tests done to find out I have a low ovarian reserve. I am blessed to already have two children but always wanted another. Starting to think if it's meant to be it will be. I think I'm currently about 4 dpo X

Yes I think we put to much pressure on our selves and its just counter productive. The stressful two week wait just don’t help at all does it. X

Cjg14 · 09/09/2020 20:51

Yes we definitely do. No it seems to just drag doesn't it! Hope you get a bfp x
