Late period but negative test?

I’m wondering whether I may be carrying dc2. My last period began on 01/08/2020 and was only a couple of days now looking back. We had sex between the 4th & 6th. being completely honest I don’t know my cycle length completely but it’s pretty average 28-30 days. I am currently breastfeeding my daughter who is 1 but I have had no period since then. Took a test today and it was negative. I also currently have BV, what could be going on?

I'm
Right there with you

Last period 8th August , was due yesterday

All tests coming back negative

I remember with my miscarriage I tested negative until 5 days after my period

So I'm not testing again until Tuesday ish

How are you getting on ?

Any further tests ?

I took a more sensitive test this evening and still negative. This would technically be my 5th day, with dc1 it was only a couple of days and positive showed pretty much straight away.
However I don’t feel I have symptoms & don’t think I “feel” pregnant but then didn’t really last time either apart from being a little more tired than usual which I do feel now. Confusing times and the not knowing is annoying. Will try first morning urine probably Monday. I can only think of one time when I’ve had this before which was about 6 years ago, had a 52 day cycle. At the time I think I was also working with the patch, was moody and felt pregnant. Boobs big blue and veiny, nauseous.

I’m also in the same boat.

Last period was 5th August. On cycle day 32.

Tested negative 3 times now so I’m pretty sure I’m not pregnant but it’s annoying being in limbo!

I think breastfeeding can mess with your cycles and I once read that on average a woman has one cycle a year where ovulation fails to happen (not sure if that's true but I definitely read it!). Also maybe you ovulated later than normal for some reason. I'd test again in a week if no AF. Good luck with whatever result you're hoping for!

The only thing I've done differently this month is tried supplements ... pregnacare

Other than that

I've done nothing

I didn't even track my ovulation this month

I did have a miscarriage this time last year and I didn't test positive until 10 days after missed period date ... let implantation lead to a miscarriage

But look - I can only wait and see

But I'm having wine tonight

I cannot let this consume me

X

Good luck to you all

In the same boat, last cycle was 2nd August and now I'm on CD 35 but got a BFN this morning, never had a late period in my life other than when pregnant with my son, it's so confusing!

Zrose · 05/09/2020 20:47

My periods have been quite regular despite breastfeeding, from reading online this is more likely to be affected in the first 6 months after giving birth.

I’m surprised by how disappointed I felt at the BFN actually

@Jessicatayla I am exactly the same as you! Last cycle was 2/8 and I'm now missed af (due 31/8) and keep getting negatives

Jessicatayla · 06/09/2020 07:30

Well I woke up at 4am and went to the toilet to some pink blood when I wiped, think AF is here so I put a pad on, just woke yo and went to the toilet and nothing when I wiped and a clean pad 🙃 wish my body would just let me know wtf is going on

Zrose · 06/09/2020 07:55

I’ve tested with fmu today and nothing so I’m just going to wait for my period... taking the tests are making me sad
