help me figure out the right day!!!

Some of you prob recognise the name- am back for more advice!!

26 day cycle, ovulation pain day 13/14 and positive OPK's but I spot from day 24.

When is the right day to have sex and have I got a short LP?

Answers on a postcard please cos I'm doing this all wrong I think........

If that were me, I'd be having sex from day 10 to about day 16. Opinion is divided about whether you should go for it every day or every other day. I secretly think it depends on your energy levels!

Making love two or three times a week throughout your cucle is fine. Also make love when you both feel like it, please do not get hung up on having sex on the "right day". This will just stress you out even more if you start to rigourously time intercourse. Ovulation is not an exact science and it does not always occur on the 14th day. It can just as easily occur earlier, later or not at all in ANY given cycle.

I would get the cause of the spotting ascertained by the GP. It is often not at all serious but it should be checked out further.

Stop using the OPK'S!!!!. These can just cause more stress through using such things. They are not worth the expense and just as importantly if not more so they're not always right.

thanks excitable and attilla. Was thinking of seeing GP about spotting although I know it is just AF getting started- by day 26 its in full flow!! but this means my LP is only 9/10 days doesnt it if the bleeding is starting on day 24?

I think you're right about your LP - I agree 9/10 days is quite short, but I'm not sure it's anything to worry about.

If you go to the GP about the regular spotting, why not ask about the LP while you're there? And let us know the answer - I'd certainly be interested.

10day LP is long enough, I think. Sex every 2-3 days is apparently the best way! How are the wedding plans coming along?

wedding is in 7 weeks. Plans are coming along great. Olivia has started school too. fingers crossed for a brother or sister soon! hope you are good too ready.

Am honestly having probs working out which day is O day tbh- the day I get pains and a positive OPK or the day after?

Ammy, I would say that the pains are usually indicative of the follicle rupturing. So ovulation should occur the same day or the day after. With the OPKs it is usually a surge in the hormone, a day or 2 before. So I would say that once you get a + and pain, get on it every day if you can. Every other if not Ovulation is very hard to pinpoint. If we could none of us would be here for long
