Bit confused with my BBT measurement this morning. Last month I had a steady rise and O was confirmed day 14. Set to O today but temp dipped today. I've not been able to catch my LH surge either. Any thoughts? Chart chart attached. TIA.

@TRL050 your temp should drop on ovulation day.. I'd recommend using the Fertility Friend app for temping, much easier to read

I use natural cycles as well and my temp tends to fall on ovulation day and then rise the day after. Very odd you haven't picked up with OPKs though- maybe you are ovulating a bit later this month? I have attached my chart, my temps have been very volatile this month for some reason but might be interesting for you to see a comparison.

@Stabal thank you. I've added my BBT to FF now. Still not confirmed OV for this month. Can I ask, do I need to have a steady increase of temp or does it just need to be higher than when it dropped? Temp drops on D11 but it is suggesting D13 for OV. (see first chart August).

Second chart is July when again BBT drops D11 and confirms D13 for OV.

Oh it's all so interesting yet so confusing! Haha Smile

@TRL050 it will take an overall average of your temps to create a coverline that'll be why the lowest temp isn't the ovulation date but at the same time they have your crosshairs as dotted which means unsure if that's the correct date. Looking at your chart this month I don't think you've ovulated yet either, the way it's detected is that you need to have a steady rise of 3 temperatures in a row. Hope that helps to understand a bit more 😊 so keep testing with OPKs, it could come soon!

@Bertyb7 - thanks for sharing! Will keep adding in info to see what happens. ☺️

@Stabal - really appreciate the explanation. Just done another OPK and left it a bit longer than I usually do. It's come up as high. So fingers crossed I can work out OV day soon 🤞🏻
