Do I test?

Hi all. So, not on the pill currently but have been in the past. Me and the Bf are not trying but not not trying either. However this month I have felt awful. Very nauseated in the morning and through most the day, sickness at certain smells, very very tired. Random pains in my lower stomach and back ache. I did Do a test about 3 days b4 my period was due and it was negative but was a cheap one from boots or sainsburys. Not a FR one. So then my flo app registwrd my period as around 2 days late but then I had what I thought was my period starting, very slight spotting Tuesday night. Wednesday there was a little more but again very light and now today I've barley had anything but 2 spots in my pad and a tiny bit when I wiped? Normally by now I'd be heavy. And most periods I pass small clots, so this is unusual for me.
Question is. Am I being too hopeful? Or should I test? Would any test do now considering if its implantation and not my period I should have a stronger line on a cheap test? Or am I getting confused?

@Runnergirl27 sounds like you might be PG, the bleeding could have been implantation, although by the sounds of your dates it's a little late to implant. Sometimes people just bleed too... grab yourself another test and definitely do one. If you're not PG, there might be something else up you should get checked out (not trying to be a scaremonger sally). Best of luck, hope it's the result you want :-)
