TTC - what would you do???

Bit of a convoluted one ... please bear with me!

So this is my first month TTC after finishing breastfeeding my daughter (9months).

Had a smiley face on the clearblue ovulation kit 2 weeks ago (no EWCM though which is unusual), DTD just the once. Was so sure I'd conceived! Felt like I had pregnancy symptoms etc! My mind was playing tricks on me!

Anyway pregnancy test was negative, so expecting AF in the next few days I suppose

But... last night bout 11pm had EWCM, a lot of it, thought it was strange, went to bed. This morning checked on the clearblue ovulation and it has a smiley face again! Is it possible to ovulate twice in one month???

My questions are

• is it possible to ovulate more than once in a month?
• should I just allow AF to come this month, just to have once menstrual cycle complete before trying again? Is there something weird about this month??
• how long after EWCM should you start trying, my partner has to work early so will not be possible to DTD until late this evening, which will be 24 hours after the EWCM.

Know I need to make some of these decisions myself, but in a fluster at the moment and would like some guidance/opinions!

Just turned 40 so aware the clock is more booming than ticking

You don't ovulate twice in a month. Those OPKs only indicate ovulation but don't actually confirm so even if you get a smiley face or positive result it doesn't mean you're ovulating, only temping can confirm! So it's possible you geared up to ovulate but didn't and now your body is trying again

Hi, it is possible that your body is having a 2nd attempt at ovulation (mine seems to do this every month) or... you're pregnant. Some people get positive OPK's indicating they are pregnant too. Perhaps try a PG test, if negative then assume you're ovulating and DTD!
