Hi All,

Hope you're having a great week. I have been off the pill for 4 months now with no period. My GP recommended blood testing and says all is normal or satisfactory. Can anyone shed any light on the below? I am reading this as I have high estrogen and could be gearing up to ovulate. I had my thyroid tested as well for hypothyroidism and that was normal at 2.1.

Serum follicle stimulating hormone level 6.7 iu/L
Serum LH level 5.09 iu/L
PROGESTERONE < 1.5 nmol/L

OESTRADIOL 885 pmol/L
OESTRADIOL 814 pmol/L
^ this was tested in 2 different tests and I had apparently different levels on both tests

Note from GP: New oestradiol method in use from 01/08/2018
Oestradial Female Cycle Ranges
Follicular = 92 - 422 pmol/L
Ovulatory peak = 118 - 1898 pmol/L
Mid-luteal = 134 - 903 pmol/L
Post-menopausal =

Sorry I can't shed much light but what I can offer is I had bloods taken CD14 when I ovulated CD19 that month and my lh, fsh and thyroid we're almost identical to yours. They didn't test my Estrogen or progesterone so I'm not sure my response really helps you any but didn't want to read and run.

I hope you ovulate soon. I've been in limbo with my cycles randomly stopping for almost 3 months so have been in a similar situation and know how frustrating it can be. I was repeatedly told it's a fine balance between hormones and everything needs to be in 'perfect' tune for a regular cycle and it can take a long time for your hormones to regulate. Not helpful but my cycles do seem to be regulating again after they went haywire in April.

Hopefully someone else can offer you more insight into your results tho.

@fizzl that’s so helpful thanks! I actually had a positive digital ovulation test this morning so that almost aligned identically to your timing!

I was concerned with the low progesterone to high estrogen as I have actually had 2 prior positive opks since stopping the pill - but no ovulation/temp rise. Hopefully this is it! :)
