Is this a potential implantation dip?

Hello. This is the first month I've been tracking by basal body temp. Ive read a lot about a "dip" in temp on implantation day then a significant spike the next day. This is my chart this week. Does this look positive? Should I be looking for anything else?

Totally normal, google falback rise. Just a secondary estrogen surge and happens often from 2-5dpo. Normally implantation happens cd6-12, with 7-9 being the most common. Good luck to you!! I'm right there with you as I’m 5DPO also! X

Hi lovely ladies, I have been charting my temp etc alongside the sticks and was wondering if anyone experienced a dip in temperature 5 days post ovulation? Pregnant or not I read that your skin temp and resting pulse rate are meant to increase post ovulation, so I am wondering why both have gone down significantly....Predicting Ovulation to be on the 23rd of June where there is a slight skin temp dip.

Any ideas!?

@Victoriafeather what do you use to temp with? 35C temp sounds... hypothermic tbh! A dip at 5dpo is normal but looks like yours continued at 6dpo? or am I reading your chart incorrectly?

I use the Ava bangle, so it is skin temp!

It could be but I get this every cycle and I’m not TTC - Google second oestrogen surge which can also cause it.

good luck though! Hopefully it is!

Thanks! I saw this, however it says this is usually 10 days post ovulation and onwards, do you mind sharing when your usual dip is? Thanks x

Juno231 · 28/06/2022 12:33

@Victoriafeather secondary estrogen surges are not as late as 10dpo, they're usually between 5-8 (sometimes as late as 9dpo). They tend to be just one day though, which is why I said it was a bit odd your temp stayed low at 6dpo as well.

Mushroo · 28/06/2022 12:54

@Victoriafeather mine tends to be about 7 days dpo. (I had mine today and ovulated on the 22 i think so it’s not always bang on)

The skin temp has gone back up now! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
