Hi there, this is my first time posting but hopefully looking for some positive (but realistic!) advice. Ive just turned 39 and hoping to TTC in a couple of years, now isn't the right time. Im being told Im crazy and there's no way I'd conceive after 40 or if I did it wouldn't be healthy. Is there anyone here with advice/stories etc that could help me? I'm aware it will be more difficult but surely not impossible, or am I just kidding myself?

The risks are certainly higher but it’s certainly not impossible. A friend has just had her very healthy baby at 43. I conceived my last at 39 and wouldn’t have wanted to leave it later than that. I obviously doo pop not know why the time isn’t right for you know but the odds get worse every year so I think you’d need a pretty good reason not to just get on with it.
