6 weeks and still faint lines

I've been having really faint lines for over 2 weeks now , I would be a bit over 6 weeks pregnant going by my last period. Sometimes the lines are a bit clearer but other times really faint or not there at all. Any idea what could be causing this as would expect the lines to have got darker ? X

Sadly this happened to me and it was a chemical pregnancy. It may be worth getting bloods done for hcg.

Thanks for replying. How soon did you start bleeding when you had your chemical ? I haven't had any bleeding at all and have signs of pregnancy , its just the tests that are worrying me !! Sorry you had to go through a chemical pregnancy, I had one a few years back and its not nice x

No bleeding at all is a promising sign so don’t give up. But I would ask my gp for a blood test if lines are still not strong at 6 weeks. It could also be you calculated ovulation period wrong and the pregnancy is less than 6 weeks along hence seemingly low levels of HCG.
Are you using the pink First Response tests, they’re quite reliable. All the best!

Have you used a digital?

I never got strong lines when I was pregnant but it showed in a digital, I tracked whether or not it was progressing with the clear blue digital with weeks indicator tests x

I have used all sorts !! First response , clear blue, sainsbury, boots and tesco all show faint positive whereas the digital is negative 🤷‍♀️

The digital tests are negative but the dyes are showing faint lines? I would be concerned tbh, not so much over the faint lines, a positive is still a positive, but if the digit still isn't registering a positive by 2weeks late you may have very low hcg. Certainly call you gp and request bloods. X

I agree with @calimommy the digital showing negative when you’re still getting faint line is quite confusing and worrying. Definitely see your gp soon as you can . All the best 🙂

I started bleeding about a week after I realised my tests weren't getting darker. Hope it's an alternative outcome for you!
