Day 5 blood test

Hi ladies, looking for some advice about initial fertility tests. I've just booked my first blood test which my GP said should be in the first five days of my cycle. The only appointment I could get was day 5. I don't really know much about what the test is for (only that I need to have it!) so have been trying to find out online. I've found some info but on some sites it seems to be called the day 3 test, other sites it says test should be done day 2-4. So now I'm worrying that day 5 is too late?! Would be grateful for any advice on this!

@Honeybee81 normally it's done on day 2 or 3 but if your GP says day 5 is fine then I'm sure it is! If anything comes back abnormal they'd perhaps re-run it next cycle on day 3 but it's unlikely to have much of an impact.

Thanks @Juno231 for replying! Hopefully it will be ok then 🤞 Just really want to get this right! Also not desperate to have more blood tests than I need as I'm not keen on needles (though I appreciate that if I do get pregnant I'll probably have to have loads 🙈😂)
