@notyetamumbuttrying keeping my fingers crossed for you hun. Think I’m about 10-12dpo I didn’t use OPKs this month but still feeling super positive which doesn’t bode well as I’ll have a breakdown if I get another BFN.

@Mrsi2020 temps looking good fingers crossed for you. Also been trying since January and feel you.

2020mission · 02/09/2020 11:17

@Franklydear you probably won't like this but my go to mid morning snack is a wee box of raisins 😂 they are high in sugar but are good in small doses with the iron and calcium content. Feels better than having a biscuit or sweet as it's natural but still satisfies sugar cravings.

I go for these ones without sunflower oil (as that's just adding more unnecessary fat):

Vil10 · 02/09/2020 11:26

@lucyrp I think I came on here in May too, not 100% sure though!

So girls, what do our rhr do apparently around ovulation? I'm trying to see if I can guess if it's been or it's coming up by looking at that!

Vil10 · 02/09/2020 11:27

@Franklydear I usually have low fat Greek yoghurt with some mixed berries, maybe a bit of honey if I'm craving something sugary, or rice cakes with a little bit of peanut butter!

2020mission · 02/09/2020 11:34

@Vil10 I can't help much with RHR, mines doesn't show obvious patterns for ovulation and for the 2 times I was pregnant. Might be because I don't wear it to bed but also I think stress and caffeine intake impacts my resting heart rate too which varies from day to day.

lucyrp · 02/09/2020 11:41

@Vil10 it's definitely may for me as I had a bleed on the 10th May from my CP. there I was thinking oh well get back on the horse next month. How naive was I ! 4 months later and only 2 periods later ! And no clue what's going on!

lucyrp · 02/09/2020 11:48

@Vil10 actually when I say 2 periods I'm lying! I've only had one in 4 months so far !

Minster2012 · 02/09/2020 11:58

@Vil10 & @lucyrp I think I was on the April bus too 🚌god it feels like an age ago! I'm the opposite to @lucyrp though due to my fucked up periods after miscarriage I've had 2 periods in both April & may then June ok July & august ok now stopped because of IVF so I've actually had 7 periods in 5 months!! Maybe I've had Lucy's! 😂🙈

Here til may noooooo we'll be fat & pregnant then surely??!!

lucyrp · 02/09/2020 12:21

@Minster2012 @Vil10 the funny thing is when I came off contraception last year I was panicking because I didn't want to get pregnant straight away I was hoping for this year and I thought oh god il get knocked up straight away maybe u should stay on it. Isn't it a good thing I didn't !! @Minster2012 I feel like you've definitely had my periods for me! I've missed 3 and you've had 3 extra! 😂😂

lucyrp · 02/09/2020 12:21

Without trying to sound too negative I have actually wholly given up really and kind of succumbed myself to the fact me and OH will never have our own child together 🥺

2020mission · 02/09/2020 12:32

@lucyrp did you have regular cycles before your CP? I assumed yours had always been long but think that's just from seeing you posting about it over the past few months.

I think I joined on bus 6 but was lurking for a while before. There was a lot more folk on the bus at the time so was hard to join in. Feels quieter these days!

I naively believed because I've never had any hormonal contraceptives in my life that I would be pregnant in no time from starting 😂 if I knew I definitely would have been trying sooner.

lucyrp · 02/09/2020 12:35

@2020mission yeah I always used to have regular periods. Was regular before DS, regular after DS, then went on contraception and my periods returned 3-4 months later and were regular for 3/4 cycles until my CP and then I've had the huge 72 dayer and I'm now on a 44 dayer at the moment.

Ladybird345 · 02/09/2020 12:43

Hi ladies, cycle day 60 and no update here! So bloody annoying 😒 Hope everyone is okay xx

Minster2012 · 02/09/2020 12:45

@lucyrp you & mr fucking fantastic will. You are only young & I think CP/miscarriages do fuck things up, I have had many conversations with my friends about going through our twenties thinking having kids would be easy & how you avoid it then it doesn't happen like that @2020mission

We will ride the buses out & have our little ones!

lucyrp · 02/09/2020 12:48

@Minster2012 I think its partly to do with the sex education you receive in school! You go through life thinking omg it I have unprotected sex at anytime in the month boom il be pregnant. I can remember panicking about not taking my pill so much I made an hour journey back home before continuing where I was going because I thought if I didn't take that one I'd be pregnant! When in reality there's only 1-5 days a month where it's really important and even then you only have 25% change of getting pregnant!
I really hope I get back to my regular cycles soon and don't end up with PCOS or such like☹️

2020mission · 02/09/2020 12:51

@lucyrp aww I had no idea the CP did that to your cycles. I assumed cycles would only be impacted from pregnancy losses beyond chemical length. I hope it sorts itself out soon for you!

At how many weeks is it no longer a chemical, is it 6 weeks? I must have been ok with mines since both were under 5 weeks. Both were about 4 and a half weeks so really not far off a normal cycle length.

lucyrp · 02/09/2020 12:54

@2020mission well I believe that's what's happened as I was fine before that and now this has happened. I think a chemical is up until 5 weeks and then anytning past thag is a MC. I was 3 weeks late for my period and had had a mix of positives and negatives so had hooked in with the midwife and then 2 days later I had a bleed.

notyetamumbuttrying · 02/09/2020 13:30

Ooh when you gonna test then @Florence13?
@lucyrp I joined MN in May too. My year of ttc is coming up mid September 😩
Aww you never know tho Lucy, still plenty of time yet. You're both still young!
I've prop left it too late, but we started when I was 33 so thought I'd be giving birth by 34, but nope, will give birth when 35 now if I get pregnant now/next year.

Florence13 · 02/09/2020 13:42

@notyetamumbuttrying I’m trying to wait until af turns up on Sunday and if not test Monday but have to admit dying to poas

Hopeful110 · 02/09/2020 13:52

Ladies, my gp prescribed me provera 5mg about 3 weeks ago for me to take daily for 5 days to induce a withdrawal bleed, I can do this cycle once every 3 months he said. I've tried getting through gp to hopefully get a blood test to check my hcg levels as I think I'm having a cp and its 'stuck' but I cant get through. Do you think if I take the provera it will speed things up? Or do you think i need to really see a gp??

Katao · 02/09/2020 14:12

@Hopeful110 I definitely wouldn't go taking anything without speaking to the gp given that you are getting mixed results on pregnancy tests. I'm sorry to say it does sound like a cp but all the same you have had positive pregnancy tests so they might not want you to take the tablets without checking hcg

Katao · 02/09/2020 14:20

Aw girls, the mood seems a bit low here today! I see there is a good few due to test in the next couple of days, I hope that brings some good news to cheer us all up 🤞

Vil10 · 02/09/2020 14:39

@2020mission I've never really tracked it so not sure if mine has a pattern either!! Hmm yeah they say they're big factors don't they!

@lucyrp @Minster2012 I arrived after you 2 so I must've been late May time! Periods are serious fuck boys, mine didn't regulate until the 4 month of being off the pill, was in a good regular cycle now I've fucked the then behaving fuck boy by using even bigger fuck boys that go by the name of northisterone!! I felt the same lucy!! I thought there was no chance of me going on my holiday in August and there I was downing shots wallowing in "I'll never have a child" drunken patheticness😂😂

@lucyrp you will definitely have your own child!! Don't say that! It'll be your cp that has fucked things up for you, I have faith that it'll happen for you! Is it bad that I always think well I've never got pregnant before, my OH has never got anyone pregnant before so therefore it won't happen, even though I've always been so religious with my pill and OH's ex's were on the pill too, you can't help but think though can you!

lucyrp · 02/09/2020 15:09

@Vil10 I'm sure I can remember the day you joined as I was on a walk witj my friend which was like the 27th ish of may! Because I remmeber sayinf to her thank god there's someone the same age as me on here now too! I hope my body finds its way and goes back to normal soon enough 😩 I'm sure that's the way the gp looks at me I don't think they take me seriously enough because I've had 2 pregnancies before so they're like "well you obviously can get pregnant" like yes but that was 5 and 4 years ago a lot has changed since 🙄
